Ok let me narrow the search a little. I don't really want the factory system (not enough weight) I looked at the wakeside elevate systems but their surrently changing the sytems and will not be in stock till march. So I'm really looking for a system with 1500+ pounds.

I currently ride with two 600 pound fat sacs one in the walkway and one one the floor of the rear sitting area. The wakes good when you throw in a couple of people but im looking for a bit more meat when its just 2 or 3 of us.

A 20v is a little tricky in that if you apply to much weight to the stern and not enough to the bow the boat will start to porpoise.

An integrated bow sac will not fit in the front of a 20V. Put 400# sacs in the rear lockers, a 600# sac in the walkway and then put about 200-300 pounds of lead in the front of the bow.

If you want a good wake out of the 20V you have to put a sac in the walkway, just crappy design by Tige.

Lee is right, you almost need 50/50 distribution in the 20v so it won't porpose and for taps to actually work. Otherwise you will have taps at 1 and the boat will still start to porpose every once in a while.

I guess you could put that pro x nautique sac in the bow, just sit it on top of the cushions, then you might not need the one in the walkway.

For aftermarket ballast you need to look at rival ballast systems.

You got it!! The seats come up but there is little room. Lead bags are key!

Before you get ballast other than water filled, I suggest you read the previous posts regarding lead and other solid products. From what I remember, some states have laws regarding solid ballast. Additionally, ballast bags become neutral when submerged, while solid ballast will take a boat to the bottom when submerged. Just a thought...

TigeDuner is correct. Water ballast is neutrally buoyant, and lead is not. I guess it all depends on how you want the wake.

We had a switch V, we loaded up the factory ballast, put 250 lbs. more in each rear locker, added a 550 to the walkway and made people sit in the bow. If you have a decent crew make people ride in the bow if you don't want to use lead.

                          it could work

                              Wannabe,

I have done the rubbermaid containers before actually, and they work just fine. We even just filled them with a 5 gallon bucket (that was a workout!). You need to get some giant garbage sacks to line the container with and then once the container is full of water, seal the sack by twisting the top and then putting a twistie tie on it. If you don't, the water splashes all over and your rubbermaids will lose a lot of water.

The price could not be beat!
                              Be excellent to one another.
