I ordered mine today, and asked if it was possible to get one without paint (polished stainless steel). He was non-committal, but said he might be able to do a machine polish for a small additional cost, which would be less if more people requested it. He said he would ask everyone as they called in their order. This is just a heads up for those that placed their order. You might want to call back and ask (if you want it).

I ordered mine today as well! I concur with Scootc, call up FAE and request the polished stainless steel. There is no paint to chip or wear off from the prop wash, they will need to make better weld lines and it will look awesome! I am willing to pay extra for the polished if needed, but if more people request polished, the more chance that it will be the same price or close to it.

Some guy stripped his paint and polished it himself. I wouldn't do it unless I had a lot of time on my hands. If mine comes painted, I will put it on painted and then have somebody strip and polish it when the paint starts to wear.

One Day Left

You might be able to get it polished in Reno -- However, I don't know what the costs would be and if it would be worth the extra money.

Eh, I'm sure I could, but at this point, it's already on there. I'm not gonna sweat it. Especially when I just dropped 3 bills on a new surf board.
