Nice choice on the color. Should make a great tow vehicle.
Our 99 3/4 ton Burb has a ton of miles on it, still looks like new, and pulls the boat up anything with it's 454. GM still makes a great truck.

Larry go with the dodge!!!! I have an '05 Cummins and I LOVE IT! I pull my 32ft. 5th wheel and still get anywhere from 11-12mpg!!! And that thing weights about 10,500lbs!!! I will be trading it in next year for a 3500 mega cab with a manual though! One thing about the Dodge is that 4sp. auto! I am not a fan of that!!! I hardly ever pull my boat so I don't know what I would get towing that.....that is usually my cousins Dakota's job!

I like the look of those trucks, but if it won't fit in the garage I can't do it.

Here is my new Tow Vehicle. I sold my Duramax, I couldn't justify the +.65 a gallon for the 15 % of the time I tow.

I am with you on the diesel prices. Its tough to justify those trucks with the current price of diesel. Nice truck-right choice.

rideout hospital why there that place takes about a month to get checked on for a emergence btw pm me and i will bring it down and show you but for 4000.00 cash would only pay for the 20 inch weld wheels not the 40 inch toyo tires.

G M C. 6sp. auto. One of the best things about the Duramax set up is getting the Allison trans. I see some pretty brutal hills 'round here and this truck kills it going up and coming down. 17mpg when not towing and 14 when towing. I tow quite a bit and this has been the best damn truck I've ever driven. I've towed with several different type of trucks. 1/2ton small blocks, 3/4ton small blocks, 3/4ton big blocks, 1ton big blocks, 1ton deisels, and my 3/4ton deisel. I'll tell you, I was pretty impressed with the 3/4ton small block, it did very well, athough it died on the hills a bit. The 1tons ride too rough, big blocks suck too much gas, and the 1/2tons just don't have the suspension or brakes for heavy duty towing. Every time I tow with my 2500HD D-max/Allison, I fall in love all over again. It has been worth every penny of the 39k I paid. Sure, I'm a little bummed the price of deisel has gone through the roof. It doesn't make me feel any buyers remorse though. The truck makes up for it in mpg.

Of coarse, these are just my impressions and I'm not trying to bash, just singing praise.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Well crap Nick, you took the words right out of my mouth. I have not regretted the 3/4 ton D/A yet. It doesn't realize the boat is back there and when we hook up the toy hauler I love it that much more.

I can't say enough good things about our F350 Powerstroke.
With our 4500 lb. camper on, it was pulling good size grades at 65mph and I still had more throttle.
                          Diesels just plain kick ARSE.

I have an 05 dodge with the cummins and love it. I pull a 26ft 5th wheel and my o6 22 v with no problemb. I average 11.5 mpg towing both at the same time. With just the boat I get 15.

Do you happen to know which states double rigs are legal in? I know they are not legal here in FL, but that would sure make family travel easier, hauling both at once.
