    I-Tunes i-Mix

Ok here is an idea for you guys.

I just made a sports i-mix with my boarding tunes. After reading the tread about guys boarding music I thought it would be cool to post each of our mixes to i-tunes (if you use it) and we can sample the music and buy if we like some of your songs.

    The Basics

Create a Playlist and name it Tigeowners (insert your name here)
    example Tigeowners Coach

click the arrow on the right of your playlist. It will ask you if you want to make and i-mix.

Make an i-mix and create it as a sports i-mix vs the regular i-mix.

This way we only have to type in Tigeowners under the search in the store and we can find your mix.

I posted mine tonight but it might not be up for a day or two.

    Wada you think?

      What's a good alternative? Limewire?

      I need a re-vamp of my playlist.

Nope....limewire is monitored. Just about all the P2P clients are monitored pretty heavily, especially the ones that you have to share to get placement.

Using IRC with packet monitoring is the only way to go.

Hmm, I've never used Limewire or any other P2P, too afraid Lars Ulrich would show up on my doorstep with a bat.

Guess I will look into IRC.

We use the "free" Limewire. 95% of downloads are clean. As far as sharing, I just empty the "shared" file after I pull them into I-Tunes.

Anyway, i'll have to set up a "ridin mix", cool idea.

Yes you can preview the music without purchase. It has 30sec cut of the song.

Many times I use I tunes to listen to some songs I like then use limewire to get the song and import it into my i-tunes.

It is a great idea Coach. For those that don't use iTunes to purchase your music you can still submit an iMix for others to look at and download from their favorite (Rhapsody, Napster, etc). And, like Coach said, you'll get a 30 second preview to know if you like it or not. I'll probably try and get mine together this weekend.

I use the free version of Limewire as well. To date I've downloaded over 1700 mp3's and have quite a diverse collection amassed. Man that's a big word for me this early!

Naw, i spread it out and move all but a couple onto my server to avoid a large mass of mp3's on the main box. I run double firewall's as well as a static ip to avoid snoopers.

If'n i remember right (at least when the music police started that) everybody sharing was a a prime suspect unless you belonged to a music club and paid a fee. I joined All Cool Music immediately for a one time fee, they supplied Limewire and you downloaded, The rules may have changed but you notice you don't hear squat about it anymore?

Limewire here, too. I move the file out of the shared folder as soon as the download is done.

Lars doesn't scare me none... I did have nightmares about Zakk Wylde knocking on my door after ripping a bunch of Black Label Society one night, though - that dude's a freakin' beast.
