The in home test was probably not close to what you will get out on the boat. How many Watts did you run to it?

Be careful, most home equipment is set to be run at 8 Ohm, not 4 Ohm like your speakers.

I used an upper end Onkyo Integra TX 88, not just Onkyo that I have used to drive my Vintage 1980's 4 Ohm Klipsch speakers -- the amp weighs about 30-40 pounds. I know the wetsounds like high watts and will probably get better results in the boat.

You men are wise, what do you think would produce better sound a beefy home amplifier that is only rated at 80 Watts of pure unadulterated power or a smaller lightweight audio amplifier that is rated at 350 Watts?
