Nice catch Matt. you're all over it.

Does the 485 have chrome grills? If so, then the black would be nice a "negative" of the cans.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I vote white.....Just because everyone else says black.

Go black and have a pinstriper throw some nice orange stripes on there.

      Or flames...everyone loves flames...

Hey Matt what did you end up doing on this? Did you end up getting this setup? I'd love to see pictures with whatever you came up with...

P.S. Love the color scheme on your boat... Very nice looking boat...

          WAIT!!!!

Are the wet sound cans/enclosures aluminum?? If so Polish it out. A good polish will look just like chrome or I mean close to it. Also if you get a ding or something it is easy to take it out.

So that is why NVS's rock so hard. Plastic UH!!!!! I don't know about that. Plus it gives me something to tease you about MOKI. I do know for a fact that I would not by a plastic enclosure for my speakers though. Some one would have to give me a set to prove they can out perform or equally perform to an aluminum or wood enclosure. Although yours did sound good.

Black would look nice IMHO. You have a lot of black on the boat in trim pieces.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

OK, so it is a composite:

The PRO 485 is the top of the line wakeboard tower speaker that Wet Sounds™ offers. Using three dimensional computer aided design and advanced acoustical engineering. Wet Sounds™ developed this product to deliver unprecedented performance levels and sleek aesthetic appeal. The driver compliment is made up of two 8” Wet Sounds™ EFG™ drivers and one Wet Sounds™ HLCD (Horn Loaded Compression Driver). The unique design of the PRO 485 allows you to hear music loud and clear off axis and achieve remarkable throw distances that surpasses 150 feet on axis. With the PRO 485. “Hearing is Believing”.

W-DET technology. W-DET is a wide dispersion enhanced throw technology. Unlike most conventional designs, by using the enhanced throw portion of this technology, the PRO 485 provides amazing volume and sound quality out to the rider and beyond. Wet Sounds™ takes this a step further by incorporating a wide dispersion design. Not only providing the volume and sound quality out to the rider, but providing a widely dispersed sound field that can be heard even while outside of the wake.

The driver compliment in the PRO 485 combines dual 8 inch Wet Sounds™ EFG™ drivers and a center mounted Wet Sounds™ HLCD (Horn Loaded Compression Driver) per speaker. The 8 inch mid bass drivers are one of the most unique mid bass drivers ever developed. We developed a proprietary cone material called EFG™, which is an epoxy fiberglass. Wet Sounds™ developed this cone material specifically for the PRO series of tower speakers. EFG™ is used because it is the optimum cone material that provides a light yet rigid cone, resulting in a quick transient response for tight bass, exceptional sound quality, and great resistance to water. Polyurethane is used for the surround to provide a weather resistant surround that will not rot or deteriorate like conventional foam surrounds and is more efficient than typical rubber surrounds.

The high frequency driver is a wide dispersion HLCD (horn loaded compression driver) This driver was designed to provide a wide horizontal dispersion for all areas behind the boat and not just directly behind the speaker. It is also the most efficient design in high frequency transducers providing enormous output with less power.

Extensive crossover network. Wet Sounds™ developed an advanced crossover network for the PRO 485. Allowing for amazing output to the rider while maintaining exceptional sound quality.

OK MOKI. it worked. I know wet sounds are good. I was just testing you to see how you would respond. Your speakers sounded great and they had great audio range. I would not turn down a set of wet sounds. I was just seeing if I could cause an uproar over the wet sound NVS thing.

Actually, I thought that you were trying to get a free pair of speakers from Wet Sounds. I love the whole NVS vs Wet Sounds - it is so futile yet so fun!

I would love to do that but I don't think Tim is willing to do that. I could sell them if I had them on my boat though. I have know questions about that. Maybe I could become one of his dealers? Just a thought.
