    For Those Midwestern People

Who knows anything about Lake Norfork? Whats the lake like, how does it compare to Bull Shoals. What is the area and nearby towns like? What is a good resort there? Is it good for skiing?

I don't know much about Northfork. But I had a ski buddy that I skied with down here on the Meramec who's mom and dad have a housebout there. He keeps his ski bout there also. He loves the lake, Sayes it is better then Bull Shouls becouse you may not see a boat all day. This is comming from a guy that is a Footer. Hope it helps.

That's funny, because I have never ever seen another towboat on Bull shoals.

I've main channel boarded for hours without another boat in site, when they do come around, usually its a walleye fisherman....

Thats about the same experience we have at Bull Shoals. We want to change a little bit and try Lake Norfork or Table Rock. Last year the only problem with Bull Shoals was the wind. We pissed off plenty of fisherman that year!

There are numerous campgrounds around Norfork plus over in Henderson they have an awesome marina with hotel across the street. It's about 15 min east of Mtn Home. It's an awesome lake for boarding because there are very few boats on it (at least in my observations). There is a free ramp by the dam on hwy 177 just outside salesville on the southside of the lake.

Yep, you can't miss the marina, it's right on hwy 62 in henderson as soon as you cross the bridge. The hwy seperates the marina from the hotel.
