would that work in like a direct drive(2000 21i) would they do like a locker sac then ther bow sacs
    -or-
like some fat sacs for each side of the motor and then the bow sacs
    -or-
combine those:bow sac, side sacs, and the locker sack nah that would most likely exceed the weight limit

Do a search for "ballast" and you will see how most of the guys are weighing them down. Rivel will put together any combo you want i think.

We built everything at home in Tucson, took it down and wrapped it up, (stored in/on the boat) drove 3 hours to Bartlett Lake, where we assembled everything again in the rain at the ramp and drove around the corner to the reunion. The center mast was 16 feet tall and we used about 500 ft. of rope for the rigging. If we wouldn't have ripped the sails for the Black Pearl effect, we could have sailed to shore from the ramp. Great fun, but no real competition as nobody else persued the pirate theme.

You did all that work with no competition? Man what a drag. Looked really good, and has given me a good idea for our Midnight parade of boats now.

I don't know how you are going to fit your boat inside a giant bottle of Tequilla

                        Wannabe,

This is my ballast install thread.

                        http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...=rival+ballast

I ordered bags from Barefoot international. I have one bag for my surf side that is 96 inches long, 24 inches wide, and 12 inches deep, until the portion that fits in the storage compartment where it balloons to 24 inches deep (I think those are the measurements). I think it holds about 1400 pounds. I use a V-Drive side sack on the other side (400 pounds) and a custom U shaped sack up front (who knows? 300+ pounds). I fill the surf sack up just a little and fill the others full and the wakeboarding wake is formidable. I am thinking of putting a valve up front to diver the overflow from the U bag into the walkway for more weight up front (I have the other V-drive sack). My boat likes more weight in the front. I would then have to unload the sack the old fashioned way with the pump plugged in.

Then I start thinking about getting a new boat and who wants to do all of this to my old boat and then start over...so many decisions.
                        Be excellent to one another.

Since there was little competition, we were awarded first place without much discussion. I got a new Hyperlite board and bindings which they said was worth about $600 or $700. Can't wait to try them out.
The sad part was throwing all the masts, sails, and rigging in the dumpster at the lake so we didn't have to haul it home. Still a good time with my son, which is what matters the most.

Great job Tall. I enjoyed reading it again as much as the first time you posted it. This project may be in our future as well.

Great Pics! Hopefully, some of them can make it to the Coldwater Reunion next year. I will have more of mine.

After the 3 years of following this site, it is nice to associate faces with the names. The guy who drives the boat always has the least number of pictures taken, but I rounded up a couple from on the water. While you're laughing, remember that I'm almost 55.
