I could only imagine what another 1,000 lbs. would do in our 24V...
do you guys surf with people on the platform?

Whenever we can get away with it. We can actually surf to the platform, pick up the board, and walk into the boat. The platform is also great for taking pictures.

We have not had anybody hit the teak while surfing, just get close once in a while. It pretty hard to hit the deck when the boat is moving away from you.

ok because i know how the surf wake kinda sucks you in if you get to close but if you get to far back your rides up on most boats...i got a friend with a centurion its amazing how far back you can surf

My son is a professional skier at Cypress Gardens which use the vlx with full ballast and the wedge , he claims the wake is slightly larger then the tige of comparable size , but that he has to hit the wake at a more agressive speed to get the same pop. He also has skied at Sea World of Texas which use the sv 211 CC , his imput is the CC has a peaky wake smaller then the malibu or tige and that the CC dont handle as well. He also claims if your going to remain as a professional you want a rampy wake so your knees will last.

Standard ballast on the vlx and no ballast on 2006 22ve , taps set at 6 to 7 is where my son and the other Gardens riders prefer when we go out and practice.

I have never hit the teak, BUT. Once while behind my buddies Malibu I got coming in pretty hard and went to hit the brakes and too much weight on my back foot and launched the board at his transom. I was sick until he got back to me. I was sure I owned a pretty good ding on a beautiful boat. Lucky for me he had a clear bra type material on his transom that showed no evidence of my stupidity.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.
