Bu XTi's; DD's; Wake to Depth

I was in lust w/the XTi design/layout from ads and brochures until I demo'd a 23. The interior is very disjointed with the meat counter right in the center of the boat. It works for some - not for me. Also the wake was really light in the pants - even w/their drag hardware engaged. It would have been a nice slalom boat.

I've got Nick's back on the DD layout - specially the 22i. I spent four days at the Wakeboard Camp in their Bu 21 VLX's, knocking knees w/the other campers (I can't speak for a 23' or 24' v-drive's space) and craining my neck to watch the action. I'll take a little smaller wake and have seven people sitting behind the windshield, facing comfortably back at the rider. I don't mind the ottoman in the middle of the floor, either.

Depth and Wake Height? I think it's negligible. We normally wakeboard in 6 to 10 feet of water. Once a year we take the rig to a lake w/30 - 100 feet. I can't tell a difference in the wake between locations.

We took a ride in a 2003 22i/r when the Tige pro team came to town. It is a nice boat for riding as T* and NICKYPOO say. The downside is that when you're cruising or floating, the V-Drive works better for me, especially that new RZ2!

Keep it up Dog...none better than the 24V. The most room, tons of storage, more cup holders than any of the Tige line, and the best looking of the fleet. Not much else to say but bring on the RZ4.......

Dom, if you are looking at a 24V, get a 2004 or newer as they are 2" wider, 6" longer, and about 1,000 lbs. heavier than the 23V. Also has a different hull design. Good luck on your persuit.
