One of my manuals called this a speedometer calibration knob but it didn't say how to use it. Do any of you know?

Don't know about that, but do you, or anyone else with the same, know what connections are on the back of that particular TAPS instrument? That's the last piece of my puzzle.
Also, your second ACC switch looks like one of the hinges on that Carling rocker switch is busted. You can get a replacement from mouser. The switch and the rocker are sperate parts on that model. It's from their Contura V sereis of panels. The one you need is part number 691-VVCMC $1.11

The toggle will snap off the switch, and the new one will snap on. FYI you could replace all of them with a new style from that section (incandecent lamp) if you wanted.http://www.wakeboatworld.com

the knob is just what is says it is while running if you feal or know the speed is off (by using gps or compare to pp).you turn the knob to increase or decrease the reading on the speedo. i never like the knob up there because it can be turned by accident like while cleaning the boat and you always have to make sure it is right. wich in your case should be somewhat easy because you have pp. so i would set it to match pp that should be close enough but if you have a gps you could check it with that as well.Last edited by kko; 11-04-2007, 11:24 AM.

no my 03 does not have it. actually i dont recall seeing it on a tige but i mainly work on 05 and up. we do see an older one every so often i just dont rember seeing them. i see them alot on the centurion boats we work on. its not a bad thing to have. i just dont like it to be so out in the open but as long as you know to check its no big deal.

You need to almost lie on the floor to see it. After I set it, then I taped it in place.
It is nothing more then a potentiometer (verbal resister) to help set the feed back from the paddlewheel to the speed-o. (at least that how it works on my boat)
Tige, it's a way of life!
