Ballast Woes

I do have 1 recommendation for those who are surfing behind their 20V/Switch V. We spent a ton of time trying to dial in the surf wake. I would fill all the ballast when you have a decent crew (5-6). Put everyone on the side you want to surf and make sure you put 2 people in the bow on the side you are surfing. This makes a huge difference in the length of the wave.

I dont have ballast yet (on the list) but with all this good info, It will be real easy to dial in when the time comes. Thanks. Cant say enough, I love this Board.

Yeah, what akdoc said. I try to get weight in the bow for surfing. When my wife and I are out by ourselves we usually have a 30 gallon garbage can in the walk way and one right in line with the drivers seat or jus behind on the starboard side. This makes a nice long wake. My speedometer says approx. 11 mph and taps are at 3.5. These change slightly with more weight.

Do the stock pumps on the Switch have check valves? Will I just be able to drop the two back sacs in, and go (with the correct fittings)?

I don't think so, you are probably going to have to get check valves and install them.

It would almost be worth replacing those stock pumps, if I remeber correctly they are only 500GPH pumps anyway, I would get some 1000GPH pumps so it won't take forever for your sacs to fill.
