My dealer said to run a tank of gas though it. First half of the tank don't go about half throttle, second half you can go higher, key is to not go at a constant speed. Go one speed for like a few min, then slow down, for a few, then speed up for a few, etc. You just don't want anything to be broken in at one speed. You want everything to heat properly, and then cool properly, and just all fit good.
The other school of thought is to break it in how you plan on driving it. Somepeople will go and beat the tar out of the engine. I don't believe that methodology. I break my cars in nice and easy, then drive them hard, and I"ve never had any problem with my sportcars, or my sport bikes. Everyone to his own, but just my .02

I find it hard it very hard to break in my dirtbikes. I always have to get on the gas. I just cruised around my latest bike for 30-45 mins then started hammering it. Didnt help that I installed a new pipe the day I got it. I never heard the bike stock???
Let me know how your test ride goes this weekend. Is it with Daniel or Tom?

ssrgeoff, dirtbikes can be tricky to break in properly, all i usually do is cruise a couple laps on the track, then do a good pace session of about 5 minutes, then let it cool for ten, get back on the track do a 10 minute good pace session, then let itt sit 20-30 minutes, its a process but works great.
Im not sure who it is with yet, the owner of corona tige' is all i know so far.
thanks for the advice everyone
