    2006 24v or 2007 22ve

Hi guy's, I'm new to this site and was hoping you'd give me some advice. I'm in the market for a new boat and if for no other reason that everyone on our lake has a mastercraft, I want to purchase a Tige. Although I prefer the Tige regardless.
I found a new 06 24v for a very good price and just wanted to hear from some of you whether a guy should spent the extra ten grand and get an 07 VE instead?

I have a 24V and it does evertything that I have wanted. I opted for the 24 foot due to the afternoon chop on our lake. Both are excellent boats. Use the money savings for a killer stereo or buy more toys!!!!
    Let it be!!!

You will enjoy either boat , but the 24v is defintely the party boat due to its space and room inside.

FIC is right, you can't go wrong w/either boat. Spend time in each boat and see witch one suits your needs/wants best.

is there that much difference of room inside in a 24v and 24ve?

There was very little interior differance between the 05 22V we looked at and the 06 22Ve. I'd guess the 24's are about the same also.

I see. My friend has a 24v, and it's nice. I know if I ever get rid of mine, I'm for sure getting a bigger boat! Was not too impressed with the wake of the 24v, but only been in a shallow lake, so hear that's why. Guess I'll know if that's true, when I get my 21 out there new years day

think he is assuming the 22v and 24v are similar in size, just bigger

                      Bigger is better

Thanks guys, so the bigger is better rule applies to wake boats as well. I was just curious whether the VE in a 22 foot would have close to the same wake as the 24V and if fuel would be an issue.
By the way, this is great site thanks for the quick replies.

you don't buy a boat if your worried about fuel

They say the 22 has a better wake weighted than the 24 weighted. My 22Ve has a great wake with just people.

I think the 22 now has the larger tank that's in the 24, (anybody know) if so, you might get more time on the water in the 07 22Ve than the 0624V.

I have heard that the 22 is the best on the water, the 24 can be made good but you have to work at it.

Either boat would be great. I just sold my 22V, which was an awesome boat with a great wake (no Ballasts). Wanted a bigger boat so I ordered the 24VE. The 24V I was in this summer put out a killer wake--again without ballasts. Get the 24 and like was mentioned earlier--use the saved money on toys, Ballasts, etc.
