Ten grand is a lot of money. The 24V is an excellent boat. It is Very roomy, has plenty of storage and rides nice. Personally, I would go with the 24v.

i have the 22ve with ballast and it throws a monster wake and plus the ve models have the walk threw trans. but for seating the 22ve has 14 seats and the 24ve has 16 seats. plus you can't pass up the three ice chest in the back.

hmm, after thinking about this a bit more. In a year, you are gonna get "two-footitis". The disease effects boaters mostly, common symptoms are the desire to buy a boat 2 foot longer than your current boat.

It can be very expensive to treat. I'd go for the 24v. Watch out for "new-boat itis" though, it can be equal invasive.

I'm in real trouble then down here we have the rare strain, the four-footitis we went from 18 to 22 next will be the 28Ve

            Long live the V!!!

I have heard the same about the 24 foot boats verses the 22 foot boats with the shorter boat having the better wake. On the plus side with the 24 is that it is quite large and the rear storage is huge. The V had bigger storage areas over the Ve to begin with in the same size boat. The V will also be slightly easier to work on the engine because there is more space between the back of the seat and the engine. I do like to transom compartments on the Ve and the windshield is a little smoother looking. For a 10k savings though, and getting a bigger boat...I would go with the 24V.

That four-footitis must have spread a little further south, we did the same thing, 18-22. Atleast I did not have twelve-footitis like my parents, that'r really not cheap to cure!

If that is your choice, there is no doubt that the 24V is going to be better than the 22Ve. For 10K more you get less interior seating, smaller storage, and a longer windshield. The benefit is the walkthrough (yippee!!) and the rear storage area.

My 05 24V will put out a wake that is adequate for any wakeboarder. If you are world class and want 2500 pounds in it, then maybe you can get a better wake out of the 22Ve. My wakeboarding sucks because I suck, not because I can't get my wake good enough.

The Ve has the coast guard tag for that many people, but put them all in there and see how it feels. You won't get a ticket from the park ranger, but there is no substitute for roominess.

Now if you are considering that Ve, look at the RZ2. There may be good arguments for the extra coin on that one. The Ve to me is not worth the extra it costs.

Did you mention what engine in those boats?
                Be excellent to one another.

                    alcoholism

There seems to some divide between the ranks on this one. Not to mention a pile of diseases. The only fuel issue I have is not fueling up constantly, we have no fuel dock on our lake so more time on the water and less hoisting jerry cans the better.
The only other issue is that the 06 is totally pacific blue (top to bottom), not my first choice.
Any chance a guy can paint in an insert?

I went from a 20V to the 24V. Was going to get the 22V but the dealer was trying to cure me of 2 footitis.

On the other side, get the boat and options you like. you are the one who has to use it.

Put more stickers on it to hide all the blue
