    waterproofing a boat cover???

I bought my boat used so I'm not sure, but I'm guessing the cover is also from 2002 (4 or 5 years old). It seems thick, sturdy and basically in great shape. I have a pole in the center with straps that prop the cover up to let water run off.

I uncovered it the other day after a light rain and noticed water in a few spots. I know the better covers are supposed to "breathe" and let moisture out but for the last 2 seasons I've noticed it doesn't let moisture out and now it's letting it in. It almost seems like I've got the cover upside down.

Is there a way to re-waterproof it???

    Use Scotchguard.

Our Rankin cover is new but the salesman said it would be waterproof for about five years after that We needed to use some Scotchguard.
