      i have such a hard time taking mine in for work, it has to be expensive warranty for me. otherwise I do it myself.

        That's me. I won't, no refuse to pay someone to do work when i know i can do it myself and most of the time better than they can. I was an auto mechanic for 10 years (many years back, family biz) and have always worked on my own stuff.

          not a mech here, but have learned a lot by working with my dad. These new motors are too computer for me, but boats I still can

            Most of us like to be honest, but selling a $14-$16k booked boat for 9k tells me it has issues. Maybe te reason there are no photos.

            Just looked up NADA, base price with no trailer, no options is $12,600.

                Yeah, when you are looking at a boat that is cheap or alot less than book you want to definately look it over before you buy it. I would be more comfortable buying a newer boat over the internet. Course I wouldn't buy anything without detailed pics.
                Probably right about running aground damage. The parts replacement would suggest that.

                  I look at it this way, if the boat is trashed (ie: interior, exterior) you can bet your bottom dollar the mechanicals were not taken very good care of. Sure a great price is good but what will you spend in hidden problems?
