    Fuse box

I’m admittedly embarrassed to ask this question, but where is the fuse box on the RZX2? I can’t seem to find it.

I was trying to wire a simple drain plug light and it’s not working. Connected it to the existing wires labeled “transom lights,” turned on the underwater lights setting under “dealer settings,” then tapped the underH2O button on the switches screen and nothing happened. Was wondering if a fuse is the issue. The boat did not come with transom lights.

And I understand there’s no respect here for drain plug lights, but it was inexpensive and easy to install so I figured I’d give it a try until I have time install real transom lights one of these days.

    Thanks!

Okay so after doing some searching it seems as though there is no fuse box??? Is that correct? Something called a PDM (power distribution module) instead?

Perhaps I’ve just wired the light incorrectly. Is the blue w/ black stripe wire the ground and the black wire active?

I wired the black wire from the “regulator” to the blue wire (?ground) in the boat and the red wire from the “regulator” to the black wire in the boat (see diagram below). I then wired the light to the regulator as pictured in the diagram.

Or am I not supposed to use the included “regulator” at all? Do I just wire the light directly to the wires in the boat?

And by the way, the light I’m trying to install is the Titan drain flange light LED:

Are those the wiring instructions for your light? Did the light kit include that regulator? if so, id say wire per the instructions, which includes the regulator.

Blue is typically illumination B+ on boats.

Yes those were the instructions that came with the light. The regulator came with the light.

So are you saying that the blue wire (with black stripe) in the boat is the live wire and the black wire is the ground?

Switched the wires. It’s working now. When I had tried to switch the wires yesterday, it still didn’t work. Must have just had a loose connection.

Don't forget to get your cheap voltmeter at Harbor Freight, it can save a lot of headaches.

My question is why does it have a regulator? Are they stepping down voltage? If so, you have to use the regulator. The PDM will be a straight 12v with 5a-12a protection.
              Oh Yeah!

They may be stepping up the voltage, or they could be using PWM to control the output in on-time.
