Where can you buy sealed connectors that the factory uses or other water proof connectors

You can get heat shrink butt connectors at any auto parts store or harbor freight. If you are really OCD you can put some di-electric grease in the butt connectors before you crimp and put a small piece of heatshrink over the show when you are done(don't forget to slide the heatshrink on first).
For an even better waterproof connection you can go the Deutsch connector route, but now you are buying pretty specific tools that you likely won't use much again.
