    trailer w/boat length

I have 25'6" of garage length and just ordered a 24VE. I have called Dorsey and asked if they knew the overall length of boat and trailer from the swing away to the back of the boat minus the swim platform. Just wondering if in the meantime someone would know or have the ability to actually get me a measurment. I want the system to fit my garage.

with a dorsey trailer I would say it's not going to fit. My 21ir on the trailer, no swim platform measures just under 23. It also would depend on the trailer. When they told me about the swing away it was just under 2 feet in front of the bow of the boat. Hopefully someone can chime in with the info you need.

Dorsey responded with the length of the trailer---no boat on it. They said the trailer for the 24V is 23'3". They are going to let me know if there is a difference between the 24V and the 24 VE. The 23'3" is at the break on the swing tongue.

Makes Sense to me---still would be nice to have an actual measurment of a 24VE on the trailer ETC.

Matt has uploaded model data for tige boats @ tigeowners.com

The schema length of the 2007 24VE is 24'...the VE is 2" longer than the V.....24V is 23'10"......that should give you some idea. I think you are going to have only a couple of inches to play with.....that's going to get old real soon.

Before we bought our tige 21 i we knew that we needed every possible inch out of our garage to make it fit. So our boat sits in our garage diagnally with just enough room in front of the bow to walk around. (if we positioned it correctly) In order to make it fit we have a removeable platform, foldable tower, swing away tongue, a 28" wide 10" tall 4" deep hole in the drywall, and quite a few dents. From corner to corner ( not counting trailer width) our garage is 25' 4", so subtract 4'( taking into consideration the width of the trailer) to make 21' 4" just enough room for our 21 i. After were done pushing it into position we cross our fingers and hope the garage door doesnt hit the tongue, usually with fractions of an inch to spare. It's like that saying "measure twice cut once". If you have any more questions feel free to ask. I hope this helped although i dont think it did. lol

                        zad0030,

I had that same problem with mine, and did it for about a month, then after it ran down the driveway because we didn't have enough people pushing I said forget it and rented a stall!

Been in one ever since, till now when my house has room, and I'm pouring a pad for it this weekend so I can go get it in the back yard. Will be great.

Heres how its all possible. You can see that green line.....thats where we aim for the edge of the trailer to go...doesnt always work that way.

Height of boat and tower may be a bigger concern

I dont know the length requirements for a 24ve but I do know we ordered a 22ve with a collapsible explosion tower so that it would fit under an eight foot door opening. Really liked the 24ve but it was to tall. We have an extreme trailer and they were very helpful in making sure the boat would fit.

call me crazy, but I like parking in my garage?????

The boat is covered in on the side drive behind the fence so neighbors don't have to see it.
