    Need Manual - Please!

    Hello Owners

Brand new to boating and a first time boat owner. As a starter boat, we found a super clean 2001 Tige 22i Type R......but unfortunately no Owners Manual and no Engine Manual. Found some manuals under Downloads, but unfortunately not for 2001. Also looking for the original Sales Brochure. If anyone has a PDF or downloadable versions that would be great. Looking forward to learning and getting on the water.

I emailed you the manual from that time period this morning
    Oh Yeah!

Gonna need some pics of that thing. Hard to tell but it looks like an original 22i (not the saddlebag version). It also appears the Metcrap tower of death. The manual isn’t going to tell you much. However, as a first tome boater, there is some basic stuff that you’ll need to know. Have you spent any time in a boat on the water?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Hey, I just purchased a 2002 22i Type R this last weekend. Runs nice mechanically but needs TLC on interior, gauges and tower work.

KoolAid, could you email the manual to me as well?

NICKYPOO, I believe I have the same tower as the gent who started this thread. The passenger side back connection wasn't bolted through. I'm working on fixing it myself. Do I have to go through the back storage hatch to remove the side panel? See photo of what happened when I lowered the tower.

That is the 2002 Factory tower. It should be bolted to the boat using some laminated aluminum plates that are in the top deck.

lee there was not an aluminum plate that I could see. When I laid the tower down, I did not hear anything drop inside body. Those caps were just set in the holes that were cut into the top of the deck. I don't believe it's a factory tower as the work looks "less than par for factory".

I'll just need to be diligent in removing the interior side panel so I can see what's going on inside there. I may need to find an aluminum bracket once I get back there to support the tower.

It is a factory tower and the aluminum plate was laminated to the underside and would not fall down.

Sorry, I was confused at what you said first. Yes, you are correct.
