    Impeller Stuck

I made a puller but I am unable to remove the impeller. Won’t even budge. Any recommendations? Motor is a MP 340

Put some water based lubricant in the housing around the impeller then bump the key to turn the motor over a little, don’t let it run..... then try using the puller

So is it the rubber holding it back or the brass on the shaft? Thanks everyone

When was the last time the impeller was changed? Has the boat been ran in salt water since last impeller change?

I bought the boat used last May. Was told it was replaced in 2018. Always been in fresh water.

Worse comes to worse, pull the whole Johnson pump off so you can work on a bench. Or replace the pump housing if needed.
                Oh Yeah!

On the diesel units with impellers the size of your hand we'll spray wd-40 on the blades then crank the motor over to break it free. Then slide the thing out. It's the rubber holding it in place.

Thanks everyone. Finally got it out. What a pain. FYI one trick to install, use a zip tie to compress and get the vains in the proper direction
