Back on my 24ve. Looking for a better wave. Like all of us addicted surfers. What wake shapers are others using and why or why not do you like it? I see a lot have gone with the GSA however it's too much for me currently. I made a few proto types with various results. Last one was the best but came off and I never found it. Now that so many are out there what is recommended?

We put the Mission Delta on our Z3. It was a 2015 with AVX. It worked great. Filled up all ballast and just surfed. We used the taps and AVX to clean up the wave.
I connected the tether to a floating bumper and put that in the rear corner seat. That way when it fell off it was easy to find. It’s supposed to float but they can be hard to spot. If you tether it to the boat it can swing back and hit the boat.

we have a wakesurf edge that we were lucky enough to have received from a member on here for our z3. it works good. makes what I think is a better wave than listing and you already know the downsides to them.
I am in the gsa camp as well but at 4k, it's a little too steep for my budget. realistically it should be around 2500ish imo. pricing I think will fall if the private owner market stops selling.2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17
2014 Z3.. Surf away

I'm running an inland curl wake shaper with all my ballast full in my 22ve. I have 1100 lbs sack in each rear locker and 600 ish under the bow with no factory ballast. Depending on how many people I have or dont have I'll add a 400lbs sack filled half way on the bow seats. The wave is awesome and no leaning boat. The price is great on this brand too. I think I paid $150 or no more then $200 for it. Check them out on fb!!!

Wakeshper 3.0.
1.0 First one fell off and broke the rope and sank.
2.0 Had the smaller 7x9 white plate
3.0 Using a larger plate (forget size currently) to displace a bit more. Had it even bigger and cut it back down.
If you have the time and resources I'd say don't bother paying hundreds of dollars for one.
I found the shaper cleaned up the wave, and added length. Other than that I still list to the rub rail as I personally believe the VE needs to be listed. I see people that are running flat and I think the wave looks like crap. Running even also doesn't work as I found regular and goofy are different set ups. Goofy likes bow weight where as I find regular not so much unless quite heavy.
regular:
1550lbs surf side
750lbs opposite side
bow sac half full
Taps 3-4 11.4 mph
Goofy:
800lbs bow - bow sac plus lead
960lbs surf side
850lbs opposite
Taps 3-4 11.4

Nice wave. I did experiment with making my own. I tried four different prototypes. The second one was the best. It was longer than tall and it just displaced a huge amount of water and dropped it back under the wave really generated a tall wave and a lot of push. I'm looking for something that is a little more automated that can get the same result.Wake Up or Stay On Shore!
