So it's been some time since I have been on the site. Started a new business and it's been 2 years. Now I am ready to get back on the 24ve for some more surf time. So I am asking what is out there in the way of surf tabs that have been adapted to the transom and what has worked and what has not. When last on there were a lot of guys putting on the taps 3 plates or after market plates on. Are there any recomendations out there? I still have a good set of ballast bags and lead however would love to automate it a little more. Ideas and suggestions please?

So I have considering what to do. The GSA is a great option and one I like. But the price is just too much. I experimented with suck gates. One design worked very well. Actually awesome. Other revisions not as well. But they do have issues like falling off. I want something a little more automated. Many on the forum here tried different ideas and I have not been in the loop for a few years and now have the time again to play. I am looking for ideas to do. I can get trim tabs for a fair price and incorporate them onto the transom and would like to know how well they work and if others went that way. There GSA went a step further with the channels. I also am wondering if anyone here mounted something that deploy sifeways like the surf gate. One revision of my sufegate was phenomenal but the prototype changed when made with a more suitable material than wood. And yes we all want a killer setup. If anyone else has something to add please do.Wake Up or Stay On Shore!

I have a 24ve as well and I’m thinking about possibly adding “slappers” or surf gates to my boat. My suck gate works really well but I wanted something automated. I’m going to try and install some in the next few weeks hopefully. I will stay updated and might start a new thread on the build.

Yes of course start a thread on the build if you get there. I'm still working on getting information as far as which way I am going to go. The suck gate work great on my boat but I do want to automate it. I'm trying to get information on the different systems out there as well as try to figure out an economical way to make this happen. If others here that have used the go surf assist please put your comments here to. I know a few that put them on our 24ve boats and it works well. I guess it's a little hard to try to compare it to some of the other waves that are out there on the new boats the last few years however I still think there is promise for a great aftermarket systemWake Up or Stay On Shore!

Thanks. I looked at them but on the surface the GSA system look more refined. When did GSA stop using the adjustable second part or is it an option?
With those that have used the GSA what is the switch time and is it clean up quick for a decent transfer off the rope?Wake Up or Stay On Shore!
