    Winter Projects Time!!! Whatcha got?

It's that time of year to pull the boats a part and get to those winter projects.

I have a few as mentioned in the other thread:
-Currently rebuilding my sub box under the helm and going to add a second in the port side locker.
-Will coat the box's inside & out to be more moisture resistant and raise them off the floor slightly. With the boat now being in my garage drying it out
after every use is going to be a lot easier.
-Under the helm test fit. Plan on making a cover panel that will allow me to bring the wall mounted 650 forward.
    -Add another pair of XS650's
-Fix a small leak in one of my bow fill lines.
-Re-routed a couple of my fill lines and changed the orientation of my pumps so they hopefully don't air lock on me anymore.
    -New trailer wheels and tires
-I removed the kidney shaped cooler so I need to clean up the edge and finish the floor.
-Want to pull the carpet out of the bow where the fat sac sits. refinish over top of the fiberglass.
-I have an idea for a walk through step on my VE that would replace the corner cushion so people stop jacking my vinyl.
    -Other minor fixes as usual.

I get re-rewire my trailer. I tried saving money on the wire last winter. Big mistake. It all corroded in one season to the point of not one single light is working.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Adding a ws420 and tuning the stereo. Maybe figure out why my bow bags won’t empty all the way. Reorganize. Simple stuff.

        Oh yah. Wax and polish.

^If the drain lines that go through the wall are higher up (2-3" off the floor) like mine are that would be your reason. I find I have to drain the last bit while running bow high or wait until I get on the boat ramp to drain the rest. Never gets near 100% all of it though.

            boat related:
fix the stereo that's currently a hot mess from prior owner/shop. remove/replace the head, add a ws420 I bought last year and either relocate or replace the jl 13w7 that eats up all the storage under the helm.
got a couple things to fix from a bimini mishap on a windy day last season. couple brackets to replace and 3 small gelcoat repairs to do.
2 panels to replace with tears and several other seats to work on.
new bunks to install first outing in the spring.

            non boat related:
remodel and remove all the gold/brass in 2 bathrooms.
install a basic sub and amp in the gf's car.
got a bunch of work to do to our 99 f250 that I use as a somewhat daily driver. keeps the miles off the tow pig.

sad thing is it's already december and march will be here before I know it and probably won't have all this done.

No big plans this year, already did everything last season. Just need to fix my Bimini from where the rope rubs and apply the yearly coat of sealant to the gel coat.

Oh yah! Have the canvas shop add surf board pockets to my bimini! That’s next Monday’s task

Relocate the brackets on the trailer for the transom straps, FAE (3rd times a charm? I have to stop getting rid of boats after the FAE install), and possibly a new set of trailer tires before the trip to Lake Powell in May.

Bossman signed my permission slip. No wrenching on boats until April. Going back to my first bad habit for the winter.

To all the boaters that enjoy sliding on snow on the hill before it makes it to the lake....Happy and safe sliding. Hopefully pow days all winter

^^^Nice! We (my daughter) start training for race team this weekend. We’ve got a good start to the snow so far with 2’-4’ of base and and the couple headed this way for the weekend. Hopefully we get another 50’ season. Hopefully you do too. May your winter be all blue bird pow days.

I’m gonna pull carpet out of the bow and rear corner lockers as well, I’m sick of the carpet getting wet and stinking. Planning on lining with truck bed liner or something similar. I also am gonna line the cooler spot as I removed it a couple summers back and have been using the space to store my slide anchor and other assorted goodies.
I purchased some deckadence at the end of last season so I need to pull the cockpit carpet as well to get that installed. Pretty stoked to be carpet free.
I’ve got to replace or fix my bilge pump as the outlet flange cracked at some point last season.
I’ve also got a brake caliper that sheared the bolts somehow. Im really surprised because I never noticed any noise or anything from that side of the trailer. I think it must’ve happened on my end of season Lake Powell trip. I found the caliper on the front side of the disc when I was repacking the hub bearings prior to storage. Im not looking forward to removing the broken bolt out of the caliper! I’m gonna have to replace the pads as well. The disc seemed to be in good order still but I may just machine it to be safe.

Some little stuff to do on my dinosaur ‘08 RZ4 w/ 400hp.
-Installing some new LED light bars fore and aft on the wakeboard tower.
-running/concealing my SiriusXM antenna up/inside the wakeboard tower and mounting the antenna atop the high mount running light. -Running new bilge supply and exhaust tubing.
-Updating the covers and Bimini top to gray instead of black.
-Adding surf board pockets to my new Bimini.
-Retrofitting wake sound speakers. They’ve seen better days. Have to fix a speaker in the front that has gone silent.

Actually now that I think of it might look into having a billet aluminum phone holder made with wireless charging that will mount next to the steering wheel like the newer models. Not sure on cost or design yet, Christmas break project.
