DEI is a conglomerate that umbrellas many brands that have been named. They tend to degrade the brand name over time.

The Polk Audio MMC Momo and DB series are all marine grade. The MMC is really nice gear, though I do not care for the amps.

DEI also does alarms and what not. Found that out when I was looking for a new keypad remote.

Did a check on the NVS tower speakers--they look like they rock. Are they worth the bucks $$$$.

well it depends. They do ROCK! If you want the loud music that you can hear anywhere you want, then yes. If your not wanting that loud of music then no. I have yet to hear any speaker as loud as they are. I love them, and Dwayne is a great guy to deal with.

All depends how you like to hear your music. I love mine loud and clear, and these are that.

That is what I like. If it is going to loud it has to be clear. Nothing worse than hearing garble when your boarding.

then yes i would say they are worth it. They are loud, clear and ever so worth it. This summer we actually had people ask to turn it down says it hurt thier ears, and they were 100-200 feet away, if that tells you how loud we had it. and the amp was only at 50%

Domsz06....side note.....an amplifiers gain setting is used to match the amp to the head unit, not necessarily to increase volume or output level. Using it that way is bad business. I had posted the proper method for setting the gain a while back....It's best to set it and forget it.

ah, i see. I typically leave it at 50% guess I might need to look at your past threads then and see about it.

It's amazing how much better my system sounds after 30 mins on the phone w/ Chris @ Kicker, Thanks a whole bunch Chris. The dealer had all the dial settings, gain, bass, and xover, all out of wack . They had both xover switchs on both amps in the off position No wonder the speakers would break-up at only 50% volume

After reading some of Spharis' posts, I knew something was not right. Thanks Spharis. Can't wait to hear it out of the boat at the sandbar or @ 60 off.

If you don't want to spend those kinda bucks, check out the Monster Tower speakers with the Tantrum drivers. They're actually MB Quart that they assemble themselves. Mine sound like what domsz06 describe and i only have a single pair. You can hear them a mile away. Best $350 I ever spent.

dog that's sweet. I am truely amazed by NVS and have not heard anything even close to thier quality and loudness. For the $$ it was great. I'll have to listen to yours someday!

It's amazing how many people listen to it like that all the time and just LLLOOOOOVVVEEEE how it sounds. Then they hear a nicely tuned system, and think they need to spend more money to get that sound....usually some adjusting is all it needs.

I have a equalizer from my head unit before my amps so I can filter all the noise out there Works pretty darn good!

Not sure about an HU Xover but here is what I have: all Kicker
KX 750.5 w/6 6.5 mids and tweets (each has it's own Xover)
1 10" sub (5 channel amp so the sub has it's own channel)
KX 350.4 (bridged) running 4 6.5's w/tweets (i assume the xovers are in the cans?)

                                That's bad business right there!!
That could be why they are no longer a Tige dealer

Hay, i'm always looking to use my head for something other than a hatrack

Did you just now do this?
Yes , It started last week when I went to install my fader switches and had a ? about how the 750 was wired. It was good and load, sounded ok but I had nothing to compair it to!
