New boat on order

Ok little warning and don’t rag on me too much as we swapped brands but Tige will still always be one of our favorite and I’ll still be on the forum.

Our new boat is on order, first time we’ve ever ordered one and customized it exactly how we wanted it. Should be here at the end of January. So come on summer We ended up with a 2020 Makai! We looked at a ton of boats, sizes, options, and pricing and it fit the list the best. Going to be a huge change from our PRE2150 in about every which way. Our daughter won and got her color choice, she was super excited. Thanks to all the dealers and people at the various shows and forums for putting up with all my questions. Our local Moomba/Supra dealer made the process super easy and relaxed. Going to make for one fun summer and a little bit of a learning curve. And I can now get a shorter board as the wave will be a lot bigger! So taking surf style board suggestions. Ok let the ragging begin I can take it

Who's gonna rag? Moomba is making a killer boat these days. You can't beat the price for the wave and tech you're getting. But if we must rag on you.......green?!?!?!?!

Thanks! Daughter loves green and our last one was green as well. We’re 1 of 2 green boats on our lake and I know the other green boat. So kinda nice to be a little different. We’ll be easy to spot!

Don’t knock the green! It looks good in the water, and the white offset won’t get as hot. For the win brother

Also, I like the new Moombas too. And the Centurions. Seem to get a lot boat for the money

We looked at most of the major brands. Tige/ATX, Moomba/Supra, Malibu/Axis, Supreme/Centurion and Mastercraft. Didn’t really look at nautique too much as they just start a lot higher. Moomba just seemed to hit what we were looking for and the correct budget. The Makai has a ton of storage too which will be nice as our crew tends to be larger now that my brother doesn’t have his 20i any more. Really wanted metallic green but couldn’t come up with a combination we like without having black on the inside which is just to hot for our summers. We went with a light grey interior to keep it cool but hide a little dirt vs white like our previous boat. Just need summer to get here now. Our kids are excited as they are little water bugs! Going to keep the great family memories going.

When I went to the boat show in Denver this year I crawled around in everything. The Moomba line up gives you a lot of bang for your buck, especially if you don’t get hung up on all the top tier finishing, etc.. that separate them from the Supras.
The Supra SE 550, Centurion RI237, and the Tige’ 23ZX were among my favorite boats.

It’s pretty amazing how the top boats are all finished out and all the technology they have now, especially compared to our old 97. Just hopefully they are as reliable as it was.

I love the green! Never surfed behind one so I may have to give you a shout when I am in OK again.

That's one thing I have always loved about this forum. We are all boat people. No real raggin on other brands.
