Board set up and wave question?

My son is riding a 4‘4“ LF Dart. We currently have it set up with two small fins on the outside and the large fin in the center. Is this a good set up for speed? Or should I take the center fin out? Any advice on what different placements are for rideability/carving/speed/tricks/etc

When it comes to my Wave? We have a 2013 Z3. Had it figured out and the wave was awesome about three trips ago. Son said the thing just kept pushing him and he could go and go and go. The next time we set everything up exactly the same and he was struggling to stay on the wave. In both cases the water was at least 40 feet deep. Does it make sense that the wave could be different even though Boat set up is the same?

A lot of things can vary. People in the boat, wind, boat rolling over waves, bags may have turned in the lockers. There’s a handful of variables post up a pic of your wake also I can hook you up with a custom taps plate that will help significantly dm me for info.
