I have almost every option on it minus the 450 going with the 400 (were at sea level and the 2020s come with the same trans now as the 450 so no need for it here) and we're no where near 100K. I'd like to think the 24' ATX would be similar in pricing since its going after the same market. We almost ordered a Max but wanted just a touch more room and a few more luxury items.

Edit: Guess I shouldn't day no where near 100K but a little ways away from it. The 450 motor option and extra trailer options would get you there pretty quickly. Were going with standard wheels and axles on the trailer.
Just optioned out a Makai, with the 450, and a nice trailer, showed $101k, so should be $96k-ish, we’ll call it. I still don’t know if I’d buy another boat that isn’t supercharged, but I’d consider a 450-460 with a 1.76:1 or 2:1, if I demo’d one from 6000’ to 7000’ with some serious weight in it, and was impressed..

Guess I’m waiting to see what the 24’ has to offer. If it’s in the neighborhood of that Makai, I might be having a discussion about it.

I know you're trying to make sure you don't have under power issues like you do now, but I'm betting a 400 with a 2:1 will be fine at elevation. At least in this new 22' boat. A 440 with 2:1 will be awesome. The boat weighs 1000 less than my RZX3 and it does fine. That just opens up all kinds of possibilities. Jason says the 22' has a killer stock wave and these pictures are confirming that. I could put 1000 pounds of lead in it and not tow any heavier than I am now. Bet the wave would be crazy!
I’m hoping I’m wrong.. and with a serious demo, I’d go 460.. if I built that boat, I’d keep it for the 5 year warranty, which for the $6-7k over the 460, would probably be worth it to me.. I’m also assuming I’d have to throw like 2500# into a boat that 1000# lighter.. maybe I’m wrong there, too.. I’m starting to wonder if the 575 will even be an option, so it might be moot, either way..

Hey ATX, hurry up and get the 24’ out there!! I don’t want to wonder anymore!!

Not sure when the 24 ATX will be out but its always worth going for a demo ride on both models if you can swing it before getting one. All depends on the dealers you have access to. Everyone has their own things they like so always hard to tell without seeing them in person. Plus its always fun to see new models and what all the brands are coming up with, well almost all brands

They said “a few weeks”, so I’m assuming around Labor Day, or so.. I don’t have much doubt on the quality, based on Tige building them. I don’t need much in the comfort department, I want big motor, big stereo, maybe a little sparkle (girls love that $hit!), and a quality build. I’ll probably always be a little gun shy in the power department, from the frustrations I’ve had at my elevation. I’ll probably always opt for the most powerful boat I can get my hands on..

I wonder if an ATX forum will pop up, or if the talk will be here?

They had what I call a “pre-production” 24ft at the PK Reunion, but I didn’t get to see it. From what I gathered, they are doing some builds, but not quite ready for production release builds.

I’m sure not many will be available much before winter anyways.. that’s probably catch up time, for them on boats that people order.. us wanting to buy this year, vs next would probably depend on what’s available vs cost vs what we can get for our RZX. Not a ton of point in buying a brand new boat to stick in storage for 6 months..

                I have a 2016 RZX. 440 with a 1.5:1 gearbox.

I'd agree with you there. We sold our boat in July now just waiting till he new one gets here in the spring. Paying for gas on a Bu while we wait. Also getting ready for 12ft garage door as the 10ft isn't going to cut it with a taller boat/tower.

I realized I was way smarter when I was paying for gas on friend’s boats!! This damn thing costs me like $20k a year, and I only use it for half of it. I need to move to somewhere with year round riding, and better fuel consumption!!

Right now, the SC575 will not be available on the ATX lineup. The 460 with 2:1 should push it just fine though, even at elevation.

Here in MN, we had the 22' with full ballast and 5 adults in the back of the boat and with the 400 w/ 2:1 got on to plane (23MPH) very quickly. It definitely can handle a lot more weight. Where are my MN riders? Let's load this boat up and see what it is fully capable of!

Hey Adam! Funny you pop in here. I've been thinking about sending you a text to see when you're getting a boat in. Any chance that one will be water ready Saturday afternoon? We are itching for a test drive. Otherwise we will see you next Thursday.

A 2:1 compared to a 1.5:1 will have 33% more torque delivered to the prop. 2/1.5 = 1.33. That means a 440 with a 2:1 is pretty much equivalent to a 575 w/ a 1.5:1 as far as torque delivered to the prop. On the down side At the engine WOT, the prop rpm drops by 1.33 as well.

Boo ATX!! Why not offer it?? Even if it’s only by special order, or something.. Probably wouldn’t sell that many, anyways, and every budget line offers a 400 and a 440/450/460, whatever.. I can’t be the only guy in America that would buy a cheaper boat with a good surf system, and the bad boy motor.. you can keep my seats, I’ll sit on beach chairs..

I get the theory, but the supercharger Gs I’ve been on just feel effortless with weight, even at elevation.. Doesn’t sound like I get my way, on an ATX, at least, and I’d like to feel the 2:1, heavy as I run, at 6200’... I doubt they’d let me demo it with all my friends, our coolers, and my pile of lead bags, anyways, so I may never know, without buying one, but I still want to try!!
