    Boating with Mans Best Friend

If you take the family pet(s) along on reguular basis, post a pic and tell us about them.

This is Chey, short for Cheyenne. She is a 4 yr old yellow Lab. She loves riding on the boat and it's hard to keep her out of the water. My baby also goes with us when we camp and hike. She is a spoiled rotten daddy's girl.

i bring my dogs in my boat, at times. They have boots I put on thier paws so they don't scatch up anything. Let me see if I can find a pic.

this is my youngest one. he loves the water!

I'm with you, at least on the Tige. We do have a dog named Charlie...he's a wussy Golden Retriever who's afraid of water, the dark and loud noises. Charlie isn't really boat material (he almost fell out of the fishing boat the one time we had him out...that was before we knew he was afraid of water). He sheds a lot and smells when he's wet.

That said, the kids and wife love him.

Dom, do your Weims Swim? I have heard they aren't the most water friendly.

I love the "grey Ghosts" just have to convince my wife that we need another dog!

my silver one(oldest one) can swim, but is not the greatest. She gets in and swims, but it's not graceful. My Blue(Youngest one) he and his sister are like fish. They absoultly love the water and swim very well. Just don't get to take all three of them out at once, as my boat just isn't big enough for people, coolers and three dogs. If it's just a few people or me I'll take them all out.

My oldest one is also a fish if I put a life jacket on her, but she has a problem keeping her rear end up. Hasn't realized to kick the rear feet. But like I said the Youngest one's are fish. I think were I messed up is my oldest didn't get to water till she was a bit old, where I took my youngest one's out all summer as they were still puppies.

oh yeah, if I have my oldest one on the teak she sure will jump in and swim to shore, or after ducks if she sees something she likes. We call her Bitty sometimes as she acts like an old stereotypical B$#@# of a lady(no offense ladies). Bitty is a clean version we can all say

Just don't go swimming near your boat if you see dogs on the platform, right?
