    Convex VX Hull Extension

I’ve been thinking about removing my Convex VX hull extension, on my RZR. Does anybody know how that would affect the wakeboard wake?

It would be like the taps3 boats. They don't use the plates for wake boarding.
    Oh Yeah!

I did tons of testing on this and I felt that so long as you had enough ballast, the Vx made a nicer wave. If you are short on ballast, the removal can help.

When I had my vx on my 2014 Rz2 I modified it and changed the angle on it and it made a huge difference the wave was incredible I can walk you through that as well. If you want gsa plates I have a stainless set that are brand new I would sell for $1700

how tough was changing the angle. I don't have a complaint about the wave currently but anything to make it longer or taller would be welcome.

I changed the angle on mine, 2013 Z3. It was a bit of a pain but I think mainly because I cut just a little at a time. If you are decent with power tools and can do the fiberglass work yourself it isn’t overwhelming. Lots of test fitting so you need two people. Totally worth the time though if you are looking for a cleaner face, push further back and more adjustability with your TAPS settings.

Surf406, did I buy one of your custom plates? I can’t remener what the name was of the forum member who sold it to me. I did the custom plate and the VX mod at the same time and I agree the the plate was also a big contributor to my improved wave. It works great with the shape of the VX and is high quality. These two mods are what is making a potential new boat hard to move forward with. 3 hours for the mod is impressive.
