    Inline fuel filter

Ok... so maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot bit I cant find the inline fuel filter. I've googled and actually looked in the boat but dont see it. Can anyone tell me where to look or is there a chance mine doesn't have it?

I only see the oil-filter looking fuel filter. People are saying I might have the smaller inline filter too.

Just follow the fuel line from the spin on canister filter. If you make it all the way to the Fuel Control Cell (FCC) then you dont have an inline. Theres a filter in the FCC that needs serviced as well.

My inline fuel filter is on the port side of the boat at the back of the fuel tank.

I have the same engine. The fuel line starts at the fuel tank and runs aft toward the Fuel Control Cell (FCC), which is a silver canister mounted to the engine. The inline fuel filter should be installed in this fuel line, between the fuel tank and the FCC. Mine was originally hard to see and almost impossible to reach because it was buried under the exhaust tube that runs down that same side of the engine space. I exchanged the pre-inline filter and post-inline filter hoses to shift the position of the inline filter to a more easily accessible spot.

If you truly don't have an inline filter, I suggest you install one. It's mind-numbingly simple: Cut the fuel line described above and use the inline filter to rejoin the two cut ends. Use a hose clamp on either side of the inline filter to secure the hoses.
