Post a picture of your tabs. I wonder if you have the first gen versions.

Didn’t even know there’s more than one gen of them. Learn something new every day!

Yes, I believe they changed very slightly mid 2016. The edges are no longer hooked.

Huh, wonder if there’s any difference in performance?

Looks like yours only has one position to mount the actuator, also.

Anyone know if the back hole is the proper mounting position?? I hate assuming anything is correct on this boat, because every time something is changed it “that’s weird, someone did that wrong”.

Mine is a '19 and the plates look like that. I also had a left side actuator stop working this weekend.... straight up pi$$ed me off. So now my dealer told me they're doing a revision on my taps3 and that I need to bring it in.

Talked to my dealer today, they said there were 12 2019 boats produced that still had the old style actuator setup and that theres a recall on them now.

I’m sure if I had a ‘19, mine would be one of the 12, just my luck. I’d be pretty irritated that they threw some old, leftover parts on my boat, hoping I didn’t notice. Did they tell you what the difference between the old and new system is?

The difference isn’t the actuator but how they mount. They will change the hinges on both ends and do a slight angle change of where they mount. There’s posts here showing it change.

Yeah, the taps3 actuators now mount on the outside of the swim deck brackets instead of inside as shown here on my boat.. They said that the angle they are mounted at puts the actuator in a bind causing the seals to fail. MVIMG_20190526_115022.jpg

                        Wired1236,

Did you get the updated brackets on your R23? How does the surf wave look as compared to last year with the previous brackets? Can you pitch the boat higher than 6degrees without the wave washing out?

Cnote and I are both having wave issues with the new brackets. We both have R23. When the boat pitch is higher than 6degrees the wave goes away completely.

Please please please guys just go see your dealer. SOOOOOOO much wrong info here.

Most of the items Tige had to change were because Lenco was a mess. If you have a 16 your system is fine, if you have any of the newer angles you are also probably fine. Lenco was the culprit in all of this and in all likelyhood we we would be seeing stuff mounted the same way it was in 16 had TIge not had to chase a problem that had nothing to do with them.

Again, call your dealer and get the correct solution.

Thanks Jason, that’s good enough info for me. I knew they had changed the mounting locations on like the r23, I didn’t know they had changed the RZXs, I’ll assume the back holes on the plate brackets are the right location unless someone tell me that’s wrong.
