I’d sure like to see some accurate data acquisition. I’m sure this group here can set up a couple gps units and start logging some figures.

While not an everyday thing, at least once a year, I have the driver run it up as fast as I can keep up. I can’t seem to break the magic 14mph. I’ve ridden 13.9 behind 4 or 5 different boats now. The last one being Zack’s RZX. 14. I think that’s where taps3 shuts down? You could go way faster if it wasn’t for that. That was my first ride behind that thing. We were ripping along and then the plates fully retracted and all hell broke loose. It’s exciting if you haven’t tried it yet. Is that something that can be disabled? The other boats I’ve been behind have no such systems. No gates either. All hull and one plate.

It’s been a long time since I said surf drags. SURF DRAGS! I’ve been looking for a race for at least a decade. What’s up Zack? I choose you off. You can even bring your little G-buddies along.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

You know I’m in!! And you’ve officially ridden the fastest behind mine, not that we can go any faster than 14 with the plates down, either way. We normally ride mid 11s to low 12s, which seems to be about right for us, although some of the kids and light girls seem to like high 10s to maybe 11..

I’m thinking running like double the bow weight is going to help, quite a bit, for this year.. I was playing with heavier bow weight almost every weekend, last year, and the more I added, the better it planed. I’m thinking 500-600# is closer to the magic number, where I was running 200-300#, last year.. also going to run more weight midship, which should help plane, over running a bunch of *** weight..

We tried to make a double wake with mine, and said G, last year, and the G smoked me, so not sure we’ll be dragging against him, either way. The damn supercharger just adds too much!!!

I knew you’d be down, Zack. Don’t worry, I’ll give you head start.

I’ll take anything I can get!! This sunshine is getting me stoked for riding season!! Think we’re pulling from storage on Monday, and probably going to hit Bullards next weekend!! Sounds like our favorite lake is looking sweet, and hopefully starting to warm up for us, as well!! Maybe memorial, out there!!

I'm sure we can all agree the distance you can surf from the back of the boat is a D!@K measuring contest? However, if you could get that wake out there 40 or 50 feet so everyone on the boat could surf at once, then you'd be talking!
If I'm not surfing, I'm making money to surf.

Lol it totally is....but who cares it's just for fun and you know who never wants to play is the guy who is only packing a couple inches ..and you don't want to be that guy We took out the boat over the weekend and measured it. With 600 lbs lead and 4 people in the boat the wave measured 27 ft from the back seat or about 22 ft from the rear of the boat. The centurion I think was 26-31 ft from the back of the boat. Some major differences though, I was the surfer and I have about 100 lbs on that little dude surfing in the video. I've surfed a much larger wave behind my boat when we have a larger crew 8-10. I am pretty certain with more people i could speed up to 12.5 or more and gain another few feet at least. I'll have to remeasure when that day comes!
