What kind of deep cycle do you run? Is your isolator mounted to the fiberglass?
    Interstate Mega-Tron.

Yes, The Iso is screwed to the inside wall of the transom storage dompartments (Ve). I think 3/4 in screws would be plenty to hold the Iso in place and I think the transom wall is plenty thick. (remember a dab of sealer in and around each hole)

    Moki,
We can't wait to come out again. Maybe the next Lake Mead reunion could be in September earlier might be to hot, unless we had some shade on the beach, i don't know. I'm going to try to put one together here for sometime next summer.

Do I need to add any fuses or breakers into the system? What amp isolator did you go with?

The Iso is a 130 amp 2 bank from C-Charger.

Hopefully, all your existing electronics have either fuses or breakers, add if they don't. Anything new needs to be protected. The closer to the battery you put a fuse/breaker, the more protection you get.

My boat came with the Iso and dual batteries, so adding a 3rd was cheap/easy for me.

ok, bringing this topic back from the dead. IS there anything wrong with me adding a third or fourth battery to my boat? Right now I have a switch, has 1, 2 or both. I thought I could run it to my second one, put one or two more batteries there, run them in series, and then I could start from #1 and when I stop and just want music for a few hours go to #2, which would have 2 or 3 batteries.

Anyone see a problem with this?

Think of them as ballast when you place the additional batteries.

                          DOM,

I do not have an isolator, but have 3 batteries. I have 2 batteries hooked up to the '2' on the Perko switch and 1 battery hooked to the '1' on the switch (easy to remember, eh!). When at the beach I have to remember where I have the switch at. An isolator would make it idiotproof.

I usually run it on '2' all of the time. When I remember, I will occasionally run it on both or '1' so that the 1 battery gets a little lovin'. The danger, of course is leaving it on both and then running all 3 batteries down. So far it hasn't happened to me, but it's probably just a matter of time. I do keep a set of jumper cables in the boat .
                          Be excellent to one another.

I'm gonna be adding a second bat, switch and iso/combiner as well. Gotta watch it as my little 'ol comp doesn't have a lot of room and under bow behind the seat is all there is!

i'm not sure where I'm going to put mine, may try and put them in the same compartment, otherwise think I'll put them up front by the amps.
