How long does it hold a charge?
It depends. It's called Eva-Dry and you can order it online from Boater's World. It holds about 8-10 ounces of water and will recharge in about 12 hrs. It's basically some moisture absorbing crystals that dry out when you plug it in.

Thats a cool gadget. I have been looking for some moisture absorbing products.
I'd love to have one for the Ipod so it doesn't get beat up in the glovebox.

They are nice but you have to leave it undone to connect most I-pod contolers for the strereo. I have a 20 Gig I will give you if you pay for the shipping. I just bought it and my 20 gig took a dump. I am stepping up to the 80 gig for Christmas.

I have one of these for my iPod.
My iPod is like my second wallet so it gets used and abused and this cover really holds up well. Since it has a grippy rubber to it I can throw it on my dash of my boat or truck and it will not slide around at all. Also looks tough and tactical!
too bad, wife's got a nano. we plug up w/ RCA spliter into the earphone jack i guess, and use the Ipod to select. so i guess it would work in the case?

How do you like it, does it work well?
It works really well. Normally, I store my boat in my garage at my lakehouse. However, with the drought, our lake's been down too far to make it fun. So, we've been going to Lake Austin, which is 15 minutes from the house. Consequently, I've had to keep the boat outside in storage. We got lots of rain (but in all the wrong places) so my boat got dumped on pretty good plus I live in a neighborhood where you can't keep your boat in the driveway overnight. It was nice being able to put your boat away wet and not have any mildew form. I ended up getting 2 of the ones pictured and a couple of larger ones. It absorbed a ton of water and it's really neat to be able to just plug it into the wall to dry it out. No mess at all.
I used Damp-Dry before and it works well, but it can get really messy if you spill it.

Here is an idea that my neighbor had for one of the rear compartments. Normally one of the rear compartments is where you keep your wet stuff. Tige or a DIY guy might like this. Make the entire compartment fiberglass with the bottom with holes in it to allow for drainage to the bilge. No Carpet to mildew and rot, and your stuff can dry from the engine heat coming back up. I really liked this idea and thought it is something that can improve any wake boat.
