LMAO... nah... just toss it straight up (not at them) and let them either catch it, swerve to miss it, or take a dive to miss it. The secret is to get it slightly to the side. This way they can stick their hand out to the side to catch it, and if they miss it... no harm no foul... just pick up your can on the return pass.
Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.
Here's my common sense tip for making boating better; Be considerate of everyone's equipment. This goes from boat to boards. Don't drive someone's boat hard, be careful with fins on the upholstry, and don't slam the boards into stuff. And, just bc you don't take care of your stuff, doesn't mean others don't take care of their own. This generally isn't the case with people who have their own gear, but guests can be a problem with this.

This wins, best tip yet!!!!
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

I just wish that the people that we invite to come on the boat read this as a disclaimer.
The laughter of the world is merely loneliness pathetically trying to reassure itself. - Neal A. Maxwell
One more idea - We have in our vehicle a container labeled "SHOES". As friends get ready to get in the boat I place the container on the swim platform. Without any further instruction they take their shoes off and place it in the container.

Great idea. I leave my shoes on the dock. It's like going into a friends house and seeing shoes at the door. You take the hint and take your shoes off too.
G-Money has a good set of rules he needs to post them here also. I will see if I can find where he posted them before.

This is just a list or rules we came up with with some of my boat owner friends.
Please feel free to print this out and hand it to your friends if/when needed..
Tigé Rules
(It’s our boat so we get to make the rules)
Basic rule of thumb is this: Have a good time and treat our boat with respect as if it were yours. If you are on our boat, it means we invited you. You are our guest. It is our responsibility to make sure that you are safe while with us. It is our responsibility to make sure that you know if I've got any pet peeves, or, I mean "special rules" on our boat. It is our responsibility to understand that if you are new to boating, even if I explained our rules, you are in a different environment and may make mistakes, and I should not have a temper tantrum. As our guest, if you do not have a relaxing and pleasant experience, we have failed. Life is stressful enough, we are on our boat to relax and enjoy life.
