Make the entire compartment fiberglass with the bottom with holes in it to allow for drainage to the bilge. No Carpet to mildew and rot, and your stuff can dry from the engine heat coming back up. I really liked this idea and thought it is something that can improve any wake boat.
That is a good idea, makes you wonder why there is carpet in there anyway. I know that is one area that I struggle with keeping dry.

Those are great for a quick tie down. I always keep 2 with me. The work great at the Sandbar

I figured this idea could go under Maintenance & Care as well here.

In the past I've been guilty of not cleaning my boats after a day/weekend out. It just comes home and waits till the next trip out to get cleaned up. I do pull out wet stuff and open it up to dry and throw out the trash, but that is about it . Well this year is different......

I have put together a "wipe down" bucket to go to the lake with us.
            It has:
            a couple of chamois
2 bottles of the water/vinegar/liquid wax solution (thanks to you guys for this tip)
            2 terry cloth towels
1 bottle of vinyl cleaner and towel
1 bottle of protectent and towel
            1 bottle of glass cleaner
            small roll of paper towels

Good idea chpthril, just started going to a lake that has a sandy beach and this would be perfect for it! Have to pick one up now.

I have all that stuff in a milk crate in the storage compartment (the milk crate allows the carpet to dry underneath if it gets wet). Anyone who goes then needs to chip in at the ramp and it gets done lickity split.
                Be excellent to one another.

Got all that also in a crate in the back of the truck. I have 2 of all spray bottles. No room in the boat
                    Let it be!!!

I am glad I found this thread. One of the most useful threads I've seeing.

                      Lots of good ideas.
