There are bright lights and then there are quality lights with good output and a good price. best output but a premium price, Liquid Lumens Pipeline. Good output at a good price, Skinnydip series. Around here, our lakes have red clay bottoms, so not very clear. A light like the Skinny dip, is my entry level. Less expensive = less output or cheaper build, or both.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Mike said it best. I keep a set of Atwoods wired up next to a pair of Lifeform 9s. They come rated at close to the same lumens(per manufacturer advertised #). Lifeforms blow the Attwoods away. Good underwater lights arent cheap, and I've yet to see a cheap underwater light thats good. Lifeform brought the new 20LED light by and showed it off and I was impressed. Need to see it in the water first tho.

The new round Shadow Caster are bright, not questions about it. yes, they are 12V ready so no up converter. Ive seem them and the Pipeline on display in the same day, but not side by side. Lights get to a point to where you cant just look at them with the naked eye, and say ones brighter then the other like that. its not controlled enough environment to make an accurate determination.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I get what you are saying jtyron but Im with chp on this one.

^^these are some slightly cheap lights from Attwood(still almost 500 for a pair) and I think their quality and output is far below the Lifeform 9s.
PS Lifeform has lowered their price on the original 9s(no bezel) to 250 a piece on their website....

Where are the reviews? Ive not seen one post about them out in the wild if you know what I mean. Im active on about 10 boat forums.
Cant find any specs, so its hard to make a comparison. This is important as they have always boasted extremely high lumen output.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Honestly can't remember...I think the Moomba Forum is where I saw it but I think they reference the 5150's. I think what they show on the page is what you get for actual specs hence is why I ask to see if anyone has had experience with them to see if the claims are true.
8000 lumens
8000 lumens of the brightest underwater light that exists.
Made of 6061 marine grade solid billet aluminum.
The LED's are encapsulated in industrial epoxy and carry a 50,000 hour life expectancy, nothing to fog up, nothing that could ever leak. This light is bomb proof. The face of the light can be refinished if it becomes dirty or dull. Just use a car headlight repair kit and the face of the light is like new again! The light comes with a mounting template, stainless screws and waterproof electronic LED driver. All components carry a lifetime warranty. If you are using this light in saltwater, TEFGEL should be used on the mounting screws.

See, the issue is, thats their lumen test. Done with who knows what piece of equipment and under what parameters. There is no way to use their lumen spec, to make any comparison to any other light.
Ive seen some posts on the Dragon 5150, but not the V2 yet.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
