    Hummer H1??

Anyone on here tow with a hummer h1?? Watching some YouTube videos today and totally forgot how cool this truck is. Super beast mode. I know they drive like absolute pigs, I personally never driven one but my dad said it was so bad. But I honestly feel like it would be part of the experience to make it worthwhile.

They aren’t cheap that’s for sure but with the price of new trucks they’re honestly getting comparable. They don’t have the highest towing capacity about 7500 but because they’re so big and low geared with the diesel probably wouldn’t be too bad. Lol
I feel like this one would look good with my boat. Just a dream here, maybe one day

I feel like these things are an oxymoron. A tool that was built to be super efficient offroad that got a bunch of creature comforts and now are a collector item. Just look at the miles/kms on the odometer. I could never justify spending that much on something that is supposed to just sit. Or you can spend the $ and wheel it as it was intended but it will kill its value.
If I had 60k burning a hole in my pocket I'd be shopping 2 or 3 year old 3/4tons and get the top tier trim package. Way nicer than that Alpha package, some chrome bezels, brushed aluminum dash panels, a logo stitched into the head rest, and a "rare color" doesnt deserve the kind of coin they are asking IMO".
You could pick up something like this and if your budget was 60k youd have lots of $ left over for lifts, tires, shocks winches etc. Oh yeah and those H1s only made like 500ft/lbs in the torque dept. New diesels crush that.

^^Im a blue oval guy but you could get a 16 Laramie packaged Ram or a nice bowtie with all the trimmings.

I'm with freeheel, for that kind of money I'm looking at a slightly used GMC Denali 2500.

7" wider than a standard 3/4 ton can you imagine trying to drive that thing on a daily basis and park it?
I would suspect tho in that thing some will just take the closest 2 spaces and eat them up...

Ya I totally agree it is rather un realistic and for the price I could probably get into a new lariat f250 diesel. For me though we don’t drive the pickup as a daily and really don’t live in the city so wouldn’t be worried about parking. Not planning on buying one anytime soon just thought it would be super cool to have one. Maybe one day haha

300K what kind of slightly used GMC Denali 2500 are you looking at!!!! 4 of them? lol makes you wonder the difference? Do Allison transmission really cost 230K. and I liked the redish one more than the yellow. Just saying. Get you an old F 250 with a 7.3 Do a crap of mods And put a Allson in it. You would still have enough left over to pay my house off.

Ive heard they are about impossible to roll over. Having one qould be cool, but I would just want to go four wheeling in it, and even then it might be a bit wide for some trails. Would look good with your RZX.

I was looking at the red one pictured. $80K Canadian is about $60K USD. Here is a 2018 with 7800 miles for $59K

HD trucks in Canada are so much cheaper than the ones in the states. Fir the price of that Denali I can get a new f250 diesel at sticker. Manufacturers are giving Canadians lower prices because of the awful dollar, i think it’s about 12% Meanwhile people are buying them and waiting a year before selling into the states not loosing money.

Dang. You arent kidding! Did the conversion and thats 12k less than the sticker on the new f250 lariat I was drooling over at the sportsman show this weekend.

Gumby, I did exactly what you said and found me an old square body 7.3l that was just under 200k. Jut been slowly doing the mods to get ready for a tuner. Bigger tranny cooler, EGT, need to add in a trans temp. Also hve just been squaring away mechanicals. Brakes all the way around. Carrier bearing and u joints(carrier was shot). Still need to drop the pan on the e4od and service it up. Saved at least 20k and its pre emission diesel that you can work on without taking the cab off. Hopefully she stays solid.

Camping in the snow. I’d freeze! Lol.

Ya the old trucks can definitely be pretty sweet when done up right. That f250 above is my dream truck with the black sport appearance it looks so nice. Maybe one day.

Freeheel That exactly what I'm talking about!!!! Just with a lot less snow. Take care if the oil in a 7.3 it will go a million miles. Well at least 750,000 so far.(not mine a buddies )Mine is just getting broke in at 300,000. Love the blue and white.matches my boat.

Lee that truck is missing the roof and the back. Probably why it is half off
