    Tige towers

Whats the name of the price point tower tige released a few years ago on the R series? Is it or a new version of it still offered?

The Alpha M2 is the new up-option tower, right?

E2 is the electric power tower thats been on Z series since 17 and can now be optioned for R series.
M2 is the one that looks a lot like the E2 but is manual and doesnt have the filler panels in the uprights and was the standard 18 R series tower.

Im not sure what the tube tower on R series before it was called. Possibly the hurricane?? Koolaid will know for sure. Im sure he will chime in. I dont think the older version is still available as the poor guy from MN here who got his tower crushed by a tree said he now has a an M2 tower.

Awesome! I was thinking the upper end tower was power or non-power, but theres actually 2. So you think the M2 replaced that other tube?

      Is the Alpha retired now?

The vector tower was the pipe tower right before the "hurricane tower" and then it went to the M2 tower. So vector was something like 2011 to 2014ish then hurricane was 2014ish to 2017 then the M2 tower. 2018 was the first year for the M2.

Yes on both. Sounds like when the remaining Alpha bases and parts are gone then thats it. I looked back at the crushed tower post. Tower was referred to as a Vector on the 17(I think this is changeover date) and down R series.

Alpha was retired in 2017 and replaced with the E2 which is the electric tower. So 2016 was the Alpha's last year.

I have read up some on this but for those of us with alpha towers, when we have parts fail are we SOL? does that mean we spend several $K's to mount one of the new E2/M2 towers?

                    awesome thanks.

So it looks like the vector and hurricane both use traditional tube speaker clamps. New E2 and M2 are direct mount, right?

That is correct Mike. You can always tell the difference from the Vector to the Hurricane, the hurricane has a cast base.
