    Raptor belt tensioner

Just thought Id share some info. Doing some work on a SC Raptor and ordered the belt tensioner from Indmar. Not a cheap part from them(338.00 List price).

The original Motorcraft label was underneath their parts label. Motorcraft PN is BT-137. Its 81$ on RockAuto. Just FYI, as I hate DIY guys suffering from absurd markups. Hopefully helps someone in the future.

    good stuffs.
my experience has been that there are quite a few items in the "recreational vehicle" world that you can find stupid high markups on and if you search, you can find the automotive counterpart for a substantial savings.

Wow, taking a page out the airplane industry. That’s some BS. Obviously there’s still money to be made at the $81 price point. Typical I suppose, the greed is strong when it comes to toys.

Quick little update, since it may help someone. This whole thing started over some pulley/belt noise that was only present when cold and at 2000-3000RPMS on a SC Raptor(loud enough that customer consistently noticed it and wanted it gone). Finally gave up after playing with pulleys and tensioners and tracked down a Poly-V belt(formerly Gatorback belt). They have channels that run at an angle perpendicular to the ribs that allow the belt to take up any misalignment in the pulleys. Quieted it right down. SC ran a 103.3" belt originally. Continental only made a 103.2", no biggie.

If anyone has a belt noise that drives them crazy on a SC Raptor your PN is going to be Continental 4061032.
