Are those inserts running up your tower? I know some have talked about them on here but haven’t seen them on a boat.

I just replied to sublimer23’s original post about the tower inserts he made. You should see it in the recent post list.

Hes not super active around here. Hopefully he responds to the post. If not I will mention it when he drops off and see if hes into making more. Im sure he saved the templates.

I'm still waiting for more interest before I made a batch of them. My machine shop friend needed to make about 20 to make it worth our time. I should probably post about them again and see if I can round up more people since there is probably a lot more m2 towers around now. These ones on my boat are actually steel and powder coated however the ones we were planning to make would be out of aluminum. Cost would be around $300 a pair for them power coated grey or black. You could also skip the powder coating and take them to a body shop and have them painted any color you'd like.

Ok. Did you make inserts for the inward side of the tower or just the outward facing sides? If not, would the outward facing side insert fit on the inward side?

I just made them for the outside. I believe the same pattern would fit on the inside as well. Honestly it doesn't look weird or unfinished without them on the inside and they have a nice finish on both sides. However if you wanted to light them up you would need them on both sides. I got a call into my machine shop guy to see if we can do a smaller quantity and how that would affect the price. I need to make one set and take them over to the dealer and compare the fit on other boats as well since the pattern was made off of my tower alone. Not sure how much different towers will vary. Not a lot I'd assume.

I’d take a set! Just let me know when you have it figured out.
