    Monthly Update

As the title implies, I plan on providing monthly updates from now until the Reunion just to keep everyone as informed as possible. The posting will increase of course as we get much closer.

    Lodging
Temple Bar Hotel; Sold Out. However, we were able to do some maneuvering to open up 2 more rooms. The waiting list is now down to 6, with Jon (DMAXX) next on the list.
Temple Bar RV Full Hook Ups; Only 1 booked, 9 spots remain open.
Temple Bar Camping spots; Many available, including spots large enough for an RV (NO hook ups).

    * Temple Bar is still working on additional options for us. However, the Government shutdown (they are located in the National Parks, and everything requires their approval) has had an impact on those efforts. We hope to have some good news for everyone on the waiting list on May 1st.

The Hoover Dam Lodge https://hooverdamlodge.com/, located approximately 45 minutes away, has rooms available. Currently they are priced at $109.95 a night. However, if they can get enough interest for 10 or more rooms, it would be a "significant discount". If someone is interested in leading that effort, please feel free!

    Lastly, a sponsor update;
It's still way too early for this, as we don't really start seeing a commitment until we get much closer. With that said, we are fortunate to have Zombie Surf Company, Lakewakes Surf Company, and Commercial Sewing Outer Armor Boat Covers already on board.

    Sincerely,
    Dave and Pam

      Monthly Update

Here is the March update as promised. I will be providing monthly updates from now until the Reunion just to keep everyone as informed as possible. The posting will increase of course as we get much closer.

      Lodging
Temple Bar Hotel; Sold Out. We were able to do some maneuvering to open up 2 more rooms last month, reducing the waiting list down to 6 with Jon (DMAXX) next on the list. We had another family switch boat brands and bow out of the waiting list. We then had 2 more families requesting to be added, bringing the waiting list to 7 families as it stands today.
Temple Bar RV Full Hook Ups; 2 booked, 8 spots remain open.

We also have a commitment from an up and coming Wake Surf Company - more information to follow later!

What kind of interest is there on pullover sweatshirts with the logo this year (we will still be offering t-shirts)?

I'm sure everyone will want to know an approximate cost but I would be interested.
My dream is still the towels, but couldn't get enough interest last year. They were pricey.

I'm sure dave has his sources however there's a new screen printer that opened up just around the corner from where I work. he offered us a killer deal on tshirts and we ended up buying 1500.
I'd be happy to see if he would price out towels or anything else.
I know he's hungry for business as he gains a name for himself.

I did coozies a few years for the guys on the moomba forums. iirc it was around $20 for 18ish of the foam ones. guys wanted to get fancy with suction coozies but I didn't want to mess with that. if there's interest in coozies I needed 23 participants to make it worth ordering.

We are still working out the details, but we’re looking at $30 per for regular sizes. We will not be doing children sizes for the sweatshirts.

I'm a big fan of the Costco towels my wife buys, and they're dirt cheap. I bet we could buy a bunch of them and get them printed. I'm willing to take this on if there's interest. I already have a file of the tige logo, just need to know if you want it all black or maybe black and orange, and how big we would want the logo to be on the towel.

Interesting note for this week - Lake Mead is officially at the highest level it's been in 5 years according to http://mead.uslakes.info/level.asp. Now we know that doesn't mean a whole lot to us for September. At the same time, if you look at the trends, the higher it is this time of the year the higher it's likely to be for us in September. Concrete is always better than those metal grates we had to launch on a few years back.

                      Monthly Update

Here is the April update as promised. I will be providing monthly updates from now until the Reunion just to keep everyone as informed as possible. The posting will increase of course as we get much closer.

                      Lodging
Temple Bar Hotel; Sold Out. The waiting list is at 8 with Jon (DMAXX) next on the list.
Temple Bar RV Full Hook Ups; 2 booked, 8 spots remain open.
Temple Bar Camping spots; Many available, including spots large enough for an RV (NO hook ups).

                      * Temple Bar Resort has worked hard on finding us alternatives for those on the waiting list. If you are one of the 8 families on the waiting list and you’re not interested in staying at the Hoover Dam Lodge, they shared the following website; www.rvshare.com. Once on the site, enter Temple Bar Marina, AZ, USA in the search bar. Click “Search”. You can then filter the search to your dates and other needs. Of important note; look for the “Additional Filters” section on the bottom left. There is an “Offers Delivery” option.

                      Lastly, a sponsor update
We are off to a GREAT start with the following commitments; ACME Propellers, Boat Bling, Buster Wrench, Commercial Sewing, Fresh Air Exhausts, Germaine Marine, Idol Wakesurf, Lakewakes, Liquid Lumens, My Anchor Pal, PTM Edge Mirrors, Seadek, Slingshot, TIGE, and Zombie Surfboards. We also have a commitment from an up and coming Wake Surf Company - more information to follow later! Please “like” our posts on Facebook and Instagram as this shows support for the donating organizations.

                      Sincerely,

Ive mentioned it before but we had a pretty good experience last year with RVShare. If anyone wants the contact info for the trailer we used let me know. It had a queen bed, a bunk bed and a pullout sofa. Worked great for my family of 5. And they delivered and picked up when we left!

unstuck, what was the all-in price for how many days.

originally it was going to be just me and other half but looks like my sis and her bf could be making the drive from boise for the week. if so we'll be looking for a larger accomodations and giving up our fishing cabin. should finalize that end of month.

Please let me know if/when you decide to cancel the fishing cabin so I can get one of our folks on the waiting list in to that spot before a fisherman grabs it. Thanks sandm.

The total price was $597. They dropped it off on Thursday afternoon and picked up Sunday around noon. There was $1000 deposit as well that was quickly returned to me after they went through it. I gave her a shopping list of drinks and such and she picked it all up for us. She then packed the frig full so all the drinks were cold when we got there. Overall we were very happy with the deal. If we had not done this we would not have gone to the reunion. I will say that in the heat of the afternoon the A/C could not keep up and it got HOT inside. I'm not sure if it wasn't working right, or if we weren't controlling it right (was our first time in an RV) but it was hot.

If you have two tow vehicles that can make the drive between you and your sister it would open up a lot of other options. There are a ton of rentals on the sight in your area. We were only looking for people willing to deliver to Temple Bar. That was hard to come by and they all wanted a ton for the delivery fees. So when we found this one with free delivery we jumped on it.

I think my sis is coming in the jetta, not the ford that they use to tow the tooner.
                                I guess I could make 2 trips but $600 isn't bad for 3 nights. split between 2 that's only $100 per.

Dave- if we decide to go this route, I'll contact you not temple to work through the list.

going to talk to sis this weekend. 4 of us in that fish cabin sounds a little TOO cozy....
