That’s actually not a bad price when you compare it to what else is around. We pay that for six month rv spot with a boat slip.

        Update!

Well, as many of you have said in previous posts, the hotel is already sold out. The good news is we have so many people wanting to come back year after year. The bad news is it's becoming more and more difficult to get everyone interested a room. For those of you wondering and those of you who have already asked, we have looked at other alternatives to accommodate more. However, this still seems to be the best fit for us in many ways.

We often have cancellations all the way up until a day or two before the event, and Temple Bar has REALLY gone out of their way to let us manage the waiting list. It's currently 5 deep. With that said, I have a special request (and my reason for posting this update); If you have more than one room, but could feasibly combine your party into tighter quarters (one room), this would be a HUGE benefit for the Tige Boat Owners that want to attend but don't have accommodations yet. To practice what I preach, I am cancelling one of our two rooms and handing it over to the first person on the waiting list. Additionally, we are no longer reserving rooms for sponsors (Germaine Marine and Tige are the only exceptions).

Lastly, if you have a room with 2 beds, and can downsize to a room with one bed, please let me know ASAP as we have one party willing to downsize from 2 rooms with just one bed in each. That would open up a room for the next person on the waiting list. Thank you all in advance for your consideration.

We have sold around 5 new boats this month and all would love to attend the event. A bigger venue needs to be a priority most likely moving forward.

I have a fishing cabin. not sure what that amounts to but there will just be 2 of us so we can take the smallest room available. feel free to adjust us accordingly.

that being said knowing the size and scope that this could become, temple bar should work with the houseboat pool and run a few of them up to the area and rent them out for the weekend. that happened when i attended the polar bear in '12 and worked out well for some to share a space.
            just a thought..

I was told they stop doing houseboats after labor day as the season is "over".

We have looked into this in previous years. Forever Resorts has houseboats in Callville. You can rent them there and drive them down to Temple Bar if you are interested, but it's going to be a heavy cost in fuel. They will not move any down to Temple Bar for us.

Trust me - theGerman618 and I have researched just about every possibility. We have even been ripped in other forums for trying to move it because we have outgrown this location. We may have to look into doing it at Lake Mohave (Katherines Landing) in coming years... but for this year, we will keep it at Temple Bar.

Back before water levels closed the other marine resort on the NV side, we used to book 4 or so non-operational floaters they had on the docks. They were through Forever Resorts. They moved them through the narrows to the other marine by Boulder last I heard. Even was about the same time of year as now.

I’ve mentioned this before but you guys should try and have a group full of rv rentals setup on sites that are available to rent and ready to go. I’m sure if you can get a large number a company would give a good deal. Not trying to down the hotel but the rv’s would definitely be a tad nicer.

Yep, tried that too! There are benefits to Temple Bar, but one of the drawbacks is that the location is isolated. It’s 45 minutes to ANYTHING. Additionally, there are only about 10 sites with full hook ups. With that said, RV companies in Las Vegas or neighboring communities don’t want to go through that much work for the return on investment. UNSTUCKs option of going private party is really the only way to go for RVs.

If anyone wants the info for the lady who rented us her RV, I can give it to you. I was happy with it. Fit my wife and I on one bed, then there was bunk beds for two kids/small adults and the couch made into a bed for a small person. Worked great for my family of five. If we had not have got a room this time I would have already booked it again. The price with all the fees was about $520 for three nights, plus TB charged us $25 per night for the space with full hook ups.. So about $600 total...twice the price of the hotel. The real nice thing about this RV was that she was willing to deliver....and she didn't charge us extra, although I'm not sure she was aware of just how out of the way TB is. I had other RV owners quote up to $300 for deliver/removal. That was a deal breaker in my book.
                        Look up: RVShare.com.
There is quite a few rentals in the Henderson area and a few in Boulder City as well. So if you had time it wouldn't be terrible to drop your boat off at TB and then run and pick up a trailer in one of those cities. Or better yet, invite a friend to join you and have have him supply the trailer while you supply the boat.

We sent out a 2019 Tige Boat Owners Reunion survey earlier today via email. If you did not receive it (please check your junk/spam email too) but would like a copy, please send an email to davidwpowell2@verizon.net and we will send you the link right away. The intended audience is those who have been to the reunion and/or those who are considering attending in 2019. Thanks in advance for providing your feedback on this 8 question survey.

Have you been to Temple? Hard to beat that atmosphere. Powell is really the only thing that could top that. They arent the 4 seasons, but you get a nice bed, AC, bathroom, shower, direct tv and a flat screen. I dont think the digs are the issue, its that we are borderline too big for it.

No I have not. Definitely on my list of places to go. I was mentioning the rv’s as an addition to the hotel, that way there is the possibility to have way more tigeowners attend the event.
