    How to replace actuator?

I have received my replacement actuator for my 08 Z1. The installation of the new actuator is straight forward. I'll splice the wire into the existing wire and will run the new fluid tube to the hydraulic pump.

Is there a process to follow after connecting the new empty fluid tube? Do I need to somehow purge air out of line or will it do it by itself after a few runs up and down? Is there anything I need to do other than run it a few times and make sure the pump is topped up with fluid?

Nope. It's that simple. Its a one way hydraulic actuator that an internal spring brings it back to home position. It will self bleed. Run it up and down a few times to get the air out and then check the fluid level. The pump takes off the shelf ATF.
    Oh Yeah!

Thanks Koolaid. If this doesn't fix my taps gauge issue I think I'm gonna lose it!

Were you getting 240ohms at the green wires at the dash trim tab module? (i think they are both white at the trim tab module kind of think of it)
        Oh Yeah!

I was not so I'm pretty sure it's the coil in the actuator.
