Skim board

Trying to make a decision on a skim style board while prices are decent. Looking at the phase 5 model X. I’m 220 lbs. and a little over 6’. We have a great wave behind our Z1. Any suggestions?

The model x is going to be more of a hybrid than anything.

I think a hybrid is what I’m looking for. Option of thruster or single fin.

Phase 5 Danielo Diamond in the biggest length, end of story....... by far the most stable skim style board but somehow still keeps the slippery feel of a skim. Haven't tried every board out there but have tried 15'ish boards and so far nothing has touched the Phase 5 DD. Can't remember if it comes with the 2" fin but if not add it and its the best skim/hybrid style board out there. Our 2 boards of choice are the P5 DD as mentioned (ride the middle length) and our Ronix Power tail for more of a surfing feel. Great 1 2 punch!

x2 on the Danielo Diamond. Thing is a bunch of fun. Super light, durable, there are several ways to run the fins on it to get some different options on feel. I’m 230, and ride the 5’4” version.

Skim board

I’d look at the Phase 5 Trident or the Liquid Force Keen. Both very fast. The Keen is a bit more skimmy and the Trident is a bit more hybriddy.

I like both but Trident is my fave.
