Our Ronix Blender developed a large “bubble” on the underside of the board. I would describe it as a delaminating issue.
It’s certainly not from impact, we don't do transom starts and the damage is not from water entry.
In addition the rear step pads had started to separate on both corners.
Unfortunately, the board was out of the one-year warranty, having had two seasons of what I would consider very light use (maybe 25 hours of use - board still looks brand new).
We also have an Inland Surfer, Phase 5, and a Liquid Force, that have had the same amount of use and are stored and cared for in the exact same manner with no issues.
All the boards have had time in the board rack, but our Canadian seasons are short and our temperatures are quite mild compared to down south. We avoid storing the boards in the bimini storage area on hot sunny days. Boards are stored in board bags, in the garage when not in use.
Our shop contacted the Ronix rep for our region. Warranty claim was denied (despite pictures being sent and the shop agreeing it was unusual). I appreciate the warranty claim was likely initially denied based on the one year warranty. Not satisfied with the response (mainly because the board hadn't had a years worth of use), I contacted Ronix directly through their website. It took ALOT of persistence, but eventually they stepped up and offered to replace the board with any Ronix board of my choice.
In particular would like to thank Murray Fraser, President/Owner High Output Sports Canada Inc.
Murray called me directly to apologize for all the hassle and arranged to have board sent to my vacation location, so that I could enjoy the new board without losing out on our short season.
He certainly proved to me he is committed to performance guarantees and customer satisfaction as the Canadian distributor for all Ronix and Radar products.
Opted for the Potbelly Rocket and love the board. Great surf style board that looks chubby, but is really fast and responsive. Super fun to ride. Especially like the new quick load/release fin system.
To sum up...squeaky wheel definitely got the grease.
