    Wet sounds sub not hitting

I have a 2017 R21 with wet sounds and a 10” sub. Is there a way to adjust the crossover or something to push the bass to the sub? I have the bass at +6 and the sub is non-existent. It’s pushing all the bass through the rev 8’s. Any thoughts? Thanks all!

This setting is not a volume or level adjustment. its actually an attenuation of a preset singular frequency that effects all outputs. So as you've experienced, its effecting the full-range more then the woofer. Id suggest dialing back the "bass" to +2 at the most. id also not want to boost the mid and treble more then a couple clicks to the + side.

Does your 2017 R21 have the ICE integrated audio or the black box Marine Audio MA300? Sounds like its the MA300 since you have tome tonal adjustments.

Ok, will dial back to +2 and give it a try the next time I'm out. I usually keep bass and treble at 0, or +3 sometimes, but in making a demonstration to a friend about the lack of bass, I went to +6 and turned the volume up part of the way and all we could hear was bass from the tower speakers. I have an MA 300 unit. I didn't see any way to get picky with the settings in the boat or in the MA app. And I didn't see any type of dial to turn to adjust crossover or gain.

Again, this setting in the head unit does not actually impact the woofer. it does not control the woofer level, but rather it goes out on the full range outputs. Dialing down the "bass" is for the benefit of the other speakers.

Gain and x-over are amp adjustments that are laptop tuned with the proper OEM equipment. Id ask your tige dealer to update the tune. Otherwise, the MA300 is limited on how you can control the woofer.

Thanks for the info on the tune. I will ask the dealer when I see them before winter storage. In the meantime, would the best way to leverage the sub be to leave bass at +2 or just put it at 0 and just get comfortable with how it sounds for now?

The head unit "bass" setting will have little positive impact on the woofer, but rather more negative impact on the other speakers.

I think this means that if I ordered a new boat, I would build the stereo from scratch so I could easily change the settings. I think it is too bad that they have gone this way because so many people screwed up their amps. It sounds like the OP has some sort of issue. I am impressed actually how a well tuned 10 inch subwoofer can actually give bass.
              Be excellent to one another.

DSP is not new. its not even new to mobile 12V, but it is new to mass marine use. Although the DSP amps can be implemented to in order to prevent end-user tampering, I dont think thats what the boat manufactures were actually after.

Now, in the context of this thread, the MA300 only has a single pair of RCA outs, and they are full-range. No form of level control at all, besides main volume. So the tuner is forced to do 1 of 3 things. Under-tune the woofer so its not very noticeable, balance the woofer with the in-boats (still subjective) or over-tune the woofer so its dominating the in-boats.

Once I confirmed the woofer and amp are operating as they should and the amp has the most current tune available, id seriously consider installing something a Wet Sounds WS-420SQ. Thats going to give you 3 zone volume control as well as 4-band tonal adjustments for the tower zone AND in-boat zone.

Now, part of making the woofer operate as it should, means making sure the back side is not enclosed in a small cavity as we have found on other models/years. This greatly impacts the performance if an IB woofer.
