I recently bought a 2015 ASR and this thing is a turd!!! Won’t hold any speed. I was wondering what the best prop would be for this boat? It currently has an Acme 537 13.5x16 any help would be great. We will primarily wakeboard and pull tubes and possibly learn to surf later on

Yeah, that boat needs a 15" at least, for sure. Which one would be based on additional info like how much ballast, TAPS-3 or AVX, lake elevation.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Yeah, that’s not right. Whoever propped that thing didn’t know what they were doing, or just threw a prop on there to get it sold, or whatever.
I have a ‘16 RZX that I’ve been struggling with all summer..
You have the 440?? What elevation do you primarily run at?? How much weight in ballast and crew??

I run about the same elevation, with a 440, there’s a big thread kind of detailing what I’ve been going through, all summer, trying to get this boat right for me. And there is a lot of good info from some real knowledgeable guys on there. I run a lot of crew, most of the time, so maybe it’s a little more drastic, in my case. If I were you, I’d be running an Acme 2419, at bare minimum. You’re probably going to get some varying advice, and I’m not claiming to know everything. I do know that a 13.5” prop is too small for that boat. And I know that my boat didn’t perform at my elevation until I put an Acme 2949 on it. If you aren’t going to be running a lot of extra weight, a 15”x12” will probably work pretty good. If you plan on running significant weight, I’d go 15”x11”.
If I were you, I’d call Nettle Props, and see what they think.
For whatever it’s worth. Good luck man! I feel your pain, for sure!!

With TAPS-3, id go more aggressive on the pitch then if the boat was listed and running the AVX. That and the 4K elevation. I think the ACME 15"D x 12.5"P 2775 might be the prop.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

yeah...that crapper you got with it is an OK prop for maybe a 20 foot ski boat 20 yrs ago. My guess is that whomever you bought it off of, took the real prop off, sold it for $400 and then took the old paper weight prop sitting around in the garage from his 1998 MC and put it on your ASR.
I'd go 15" by 12 pitch if you are at elevation or a 15 x 13 pitch if you are at sea level. Then for your weekend saver prop, go up or down a pitch depending on how you like that prop, if you have any high elevation trips planned or if you have any low elevation trips planned.
If your an "all I do is surf" guy, then 15" x 12 pitch regardless of the altitude
Acme and OJ are both top notch props. I'm and OJ for life fan because of their customer service

The dude from OJ is super cool. He tried to help me figure mine out, but didn’t have as wide of variety as acme. The 15”x11” from acme pulls hard. To agree with Bsreid, you will be burning fuel, though, and top speed will be about 33, at that elevation, where you’ll see about 38, with a 15”x12”.. if you aren’t surfing, and don’t want any ballast when wakeboarding the 15”x12” is your prop. I’d probably run .105 cup as I was getting some slip with my .75 cup on there, although you may not see that with a 400, as I barely was.. if you plan on surfing, with any weight, you’ll most likely be buying a 15”x11” in the future, but you will be stoked on how hard it pulls.
